Armed with this knowledge, graduates can embark on a transformative journey, discovering a wealth of opportunities.
Physiology graduates entering hospitals and clinics or diagnostics, find themselves at the forefront of clinical care. Their deep understanding of the human body equips them with the skills to monitor vital signs, conduct physical assessments, interpret diagnostic tests from analyzing blood samples, performing electrocardiograms, echocardiograms, electroencephalograms, or utilizing advanced imaging technologies, assist in medical procedures, as medical sonographers and non-invasive to minimally invasive diagnostic specialists in areas such as cardiology, respiratory care and sleep studies, neurology, gastroenterology, renal care, and endocrinology tailoring their expertise to address specific medical conditions. Clinical Physiologists can also function in other hospital units such as the intensive care unit (ICU), emergency department, and operating room, where they provide critical support to patients and healthcare teams.
