He medical name is ocular myokymia.

Mild twitching of the eyelid is common and often associated with fatigue. Although these voluntary contractions of muscles are annoying, they are completely harmless.

Often gentle massaging your eye will relieve the symptoms and the twitch disappears after catching on your sleep.

Color blindness is an often misunderstood condition. Many assume because of its name that
“color blind” means a person can only see in black and white.

In reality, most people with color blindness can still perceive colors, although they may have difficulty distinguishing between certain hues.

Low vision is a permanent, significant vision impairment, typically 20/70 or worse, or severe field loss that cannot be corrected by standard glasses, contacts, medications or surgery, yet is not total blindness.

It impacts daily tasks like reading, driving, or recognizing faces. Causes include age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, diabetes and injuries.

Glaucoma is one of the silent causes of blindnessand that silence is the real danger.
Most people with glaucoma do not feel pain, do not notice symptoms, and do not know anything is wrong until significant vision loss has already happened. And sadly, once vision is lost from glaucoma, it cannot be restored.

Glaucoma damages the optic nerve — the cable that connects your eyes to your brain.
When that nerve is damaged, vision starts to go… slowly, quietly, and permanently.

Many people think:
• “I’m still young”
• “I see clearly”
• “There’s no eye pain”
• “No one in my family has eye problems”

But glaucoma does not wait for age, pain, or permission.

You can see perfectly well today and still be developing glaucoma.

That’s why regular eye checks are non-negotiable.

Early detection is the only real weapon we have against glaucoma.
With timely diagnosis, proper monitoring, and consistent treatment, vision loss can be slowed or prevented.

This January, let’s stop guessing and start checking.
Let’s normalize eye tests the same way we normalize blood pressure checks.
Let’s protect our sight before it becomes a regret.

Your eyes matter.
Your vision matters.
And silence is not safety.

As the term “age-related macular degeneration” (AMD) implies, macular degeneration is more likely to occur as you get older.

However, people can develop macular degeneration at younger ages because of several factors.

Vision rehabilitation maximizes visual functioning, so the patient can achieve their visual goals and improve the quality of their life.

Rehabilitation plan may include prescription glasses or contact lenses, optical and electronic magnification devices, assistive technology, glare control with therapeutic filters, contrast enhancement, eccentric viewing, visual field enhancement, non-optical options and referral for additional services with other professionals.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration {AMD} can occur in one eye only, as an initial sign of the disease showing up, or for the condition to affect each eye with different levels of severity.

However, over time, it is highly likely for a person with AMD in one eye to develop AMD in the other eye as well.

One eye leads the other, and this leading eye is called the dominant eye. Just as a person may be right handed or left handed, so he may be right eyed or left eyed.

The dominant eye may be defined as that eye which performs the major function of seeing, being assisted by the less dominant fellow eye.

Glaucoma cannot be cured with eye drops, however, prescription eye drops are the most common treatment to lower eye pressure, slowing the disease’s progression, and preventing further vision loss.

These drops work by either reducing fluid production in the eye or improving fluid drainage, effectively managing the pressure that damages the optic nerve.
