Your Eye Drops Are Not Car Accessories. Stop Leaving Them in the Car.

Today is a good day to remind you of something simple but very important: eye drops need proper storage.

Many people don’t realize that heat can damage eye drops. Some eye drops are meant to be stored in a cool place, and certain types even require refrigeration to remain effective.

Always check the carton or package insert for the recommended storage instructions.

Here’s the problem:
Your car can get extremely hot during the day. When eye drops are left inside, that heat can spoil the active ingredients. And once that happens, the drops may no longer work the way they should.

So the medication you’re trusting to protect or treat your eyes might already be compromised.

The simple rule is; If you wouldn’t store your medication in an oven, don’t store it in your car.

Protect your vision and tore your eye drops properly.

Eye pain is not the only sign of an eye problem
Blurred vision, pressure, headaches, or even frequent blinking can be warning signs.

And the earlier eye issues are detected, the easier they are to manage and treat. Waiting until it becomes painful can mean the problem has already progressed.

So don’t wait for pain before you take your eyes seriously.
Listen to your eyes.

They are always communicating.

If you’ve noticed any unusual changes in your vision or eye comfort, it might be time for a professional check.

Your eyes carry you through the beauty of life.
Take care of them.

Listen to your eyes.

Two Saturdays ago, a mum came in for her routine eye check.
Her little boy waited at home.

Weeks later, she returned but this time worried. Her son's teacher had complained he couldn’t see the board clearly.

Fam, this is because children rarely complain about their sight.
They adjust and struggle quietly.
And by the time we notice, learning, confidence, and play may already be affected.

Please, routine eye checks are not for adults alone.
Your child’s eyes are growing, developing, changing, just like the rest of them.

So this weekend, don’t leave the children behind at home when you’re coming for your eye check.
Bring them along. Let’s look out for their vision early.

Healthy eyes today = brighter tomorrows.
