*ADOLMA OBSERVES WORLD TB DAY 24th MARCH 2025*

Today being the 24th of March 2025. The Adolma health center, observed it well tuberculosis day. The program started with an opening prayer from the respective religions Christian and Muslim prayer were made after which we had a health talk by nurse Daniel which was being interpreted to hausa by nurse Johanna he spoke about the following
I) what is TB
Types of TB
ii) causes of TB causes of TB
iii) how can we contact TB
iv) signs and symptoms of TB
V) preventive measure for TB .
After which they had a questions and answers session.
Two representative from the red aid adokora local government and sultani where also present to assist in the world T.b day.
After the health talk they showed the people how they can produce the space name for the test without a struggle for a hard cough. Thereafter the people were attended to by given a container to produce a spaciment. children between the age of 0 to 5 were asked to produce their stool while from six and above where ask to produce a mucus .
The program started with a number of 94 people and ended up with a total of 118 people.
It was a success to the glory of God.

Adolma Holistic Health Services commemorated World Cancer Day on February 4, 2025. The event commenced at 10 a.m. and was attended by 53 clients who were enthusiastic about receiving informative health discussions from the healthcare professionals. Topics covered included cancer, its causes, various types, diagnosis, and management strategies. The program featured numerous question-and-answer sessions that addressed the concerns raised by the attendees. A total of 34 clients benefited from complimentary consultations, while others underwent breast assessments, prostate evaluations, and general consultations. Additionally, some participants completed general laboratory tests and received treatment following their diagnoses.
Challenges:
Due to insufficient funding, we were unable to procure all necessary cancer diagnostic reagents and equipment. Cervical cancer represents a significant health concern within this community, and it would have been a notable accomplishment for Adolma Holistic Health Services to offer affordable diagnostic services utilizing the essential equipment.

ADOLMA HOLISTIC HEALTH SERVICES operates in the local government areas near Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State in northeastern Nigeria. This area, known as Fulfulde, had an estimated population of 418,000 in 2018. Since then, Jalingo has seen significant population growth, largely due to an influx of immigrants from regions such as Kano, Borno, Gombe, and neighboring Cameroon. As of November 2022, the population is estimated to have reaxhed a million. The increase in the immigrant population is primarily a consequence of crises triggered by Boko Haram violence, Fulani herdsmen conflicts, and political instability in nearby countries.

This surge in residents has intensified the already existing shortages of essential resources, including clean water, food, adequate housing, and access to healthcare services. In response to these pressing needs, ADOLMA HOLISTIC HEALTH SERVICES has stepped in to provide vital health services to the community, despite the ongoing economic, political, and religious challenges in the region.

World contraceptive day

On September 26th, 2024, a program was conducted to educate women on managing childbirth and family planning. The 50 attendees, comprising both men and women, received demonstrations on using various contraception methods such as condoms, injectables, and implants. The event also included an interactive session where women could ask questions and seek clarifications on challenges they faced with contraceptives.

Adolma Holistic health services is acknowledged World 🌎 Hepatitis Day.

On July 28th, 2024, an event was held to raise awareness about the importance of taking proactive measures against viral hepatitis, with the theme "It's time for action." Prior to the event, health workers conducted community outreach to educate and inform people about hepatitis. A total of 57 individuals, including both adults and children, received health education, free counselling, and hepatitis B and C lab tests at the facility. Those who tested positive were referred to secondary facilities for further treatment, while those already undergoing treatment received additional support.
