Today, March 24th, we commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, a global effort to raise awareness, promote prevention, and support those affected by this deadly disease. Today, we mark World TB Day by reaffirming our commitment to health equity and social justice.
Tuberculosis is one of the world's top infectious killers, claiming over 1.5 million lives each year. In Nigeria, TB remains a significant public health concern, with thousands of new cases reported annually.
As the Public Health Team PANS UniJos, we come together to raise awareness about TB symptoms, prevention, and treatment options
Promoting education and advocacy efforts to combat TB stigma - Supporting TB survivors and their families through our community outreach programs.
Symptoms of Tuberculosis include; coughing, fever, night sweats, and weight loss, if symptoms persist- Seek proper medical attention.
GET TESTED!!! If you're experiencing symptoms or have been exposed to tuberculosis patients.
GET TREATED!!! If diagnosed with TB, complete your treatment regimen.
As public health advocates, we'll continue to shine a light on the disproportionate impact of TB on vulnerable populations.
Let's work together to end TB for all!
