Truly, it is a commendable gesture that will help in curbing the shortage of Doctors in the State.

Governor Uba Sani Approves 100% Salary & Hazards Allowance for Health Workers – A Mark of Exemplary Leadership

In a bold step that underscores his compassion and commitment to healthcare, His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senate Uba Sani has approved the full implementation of the 2024 CONMESS and CONHESS, including a 100% hazard allowance for health workers effective from September 2025.

This decisive action answers long-standing concerns raised by health unions and ensures doctors, nurses, midwives, pharmacists, lab scientists, and other frontline workers receive the dignity, respect, and competitive pay they deserve.

By prioritizing the welfare of healthcare professionals, the Governor has not only strengthened morale in the sector but also guaranteed continuous, quality healthcare delivery for Kaduna citizens.

This move means:
Motivated and committed health workers
Improved access to quality care
Fewer strikes or service disruptions
Attraction and retention of skilled professionals Positive ripple effect on the local economy

On August 31, 2024, Senator Hon. Barr. Ibrahim Khalid Soba, who represents Ikara, Kudan, Kubau, Lere, Maƙarfi, Sabon Gari, and Zaria, generously initiated the distribution of ₦80,000 to 102 final-year medical students in Medicine and Surgery, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy.
