Back pain in the third trimester is real, exhausting, and often brushed off like it’s “just part of pregnancy.”

But mama, you don’t have to suffer through it.

Here are 2 proven ways to relieve the pressure:

A maternity support belt to lift your belly and reduce strain on your lower back.
The cat-cow stretch — a gentle movement that relaxes the spine and eases pelvic tension (and baby usually loves it too!).
But that’s not all...

Here are a few more things that can help right now:

✅ Use a warm towel or water bottle on your lower back (not hot)
✅ Sleep on your side with a pillow between your knees and under your belly
✅ Walk daily in short bursts to stay mobile
✅ Ask your partner for a gentle lower back massage with warm oil
✅ Sit upright with good posture and a cushion behind your back
✅ Your comfort matters. Your pain is valid. And your body is doing something incredible.

If I were to walk into the labour room today…

Oh, I’d come with a whole camera crew.

Like full paparazzi vibes—tripod, ring light, the works!

Because honestly, I want to remember everything!

How I looked (sweaty and powerful),

That exact moment I saw my baby’s face,

The nurses shouting “push!” like they were coaching football,

And me threatening everyone in the room mid-contraction (sorry, not sorry).

Labour is wild… 🤣🤣🤣 but it’s unforgettable.

Sometimes I just want to rewind and relive the magic—chaos and all.

Tips to Recover Faster After Childbirth
1. Rest as much as you can – Your body just went through a major event. Sleep when the baby sleeps and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
2. Stay hydrated – Water helps with healing, energy, and breastfeeding. Keep a bottle nearby always.
3. Eat nourishing meals – Focus on whole foods rich in iron, protein, fiber, and healthy fats to rebuild strength.
4. Do gentle movements – Short walks and light stretching boost circulation and help prevent stiffness.
5. Take care of your pelvic floor – Begin with breathing and gentle Kegels if cleared by your doctor.
6. Use postpartum support – Belly binders or compression garments can help with comfort and posture.
7. Don’t skip follow-ups – Your checkups matter. Healing isn’t just physical—your mental health counts too.
8. Give yourself grace – Every recovery journey is different. Listen to your body and go at your pace.
