EARLY CONDUCT OF STAFF PROMOTION: A FULFILMENT OF PROMISE TO PRIORITIZE STAFF WELFARE.
The Management of the Centre has described the early conduct of the just concluded 2023 staff promotion exercise as a fulfilment of the Medical Director/Chief Executive, Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu's promise to prioritize staff welfare.
The Centre's Spokesperson and Head, Public Relations/ Protocol, Miss Esther Bature, gave the hint in a chat in her office recently, shortly after one of the Management's meetings.
Miss Bature stated that early conduct of promotion exercise, adopted years ago by Dr. Adamu's administration, has gradually reduced backlog of promotion arrears and other related staff welfare packages.
She attributed the current peace and industrial harmony in the Centre to Management's efforts in addressing staff welfare.
The spokesperson also commended the understanding and supports of the various unions and the entire staff, assuring them of the Management's commitment towards curtailing the hitches in the payment of their welfare, enhanced service delivery and infrastructural development in the Centre.

NSHIA SEEKS COLLABORATION WITH FMC, KEFFI.
Dr. GWAMNA SHEKWONUGAZA DOGARA, the Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency, NSHIA, and his management team earlier this week paid an advocacy visit to Management of Federal Medical Centre, Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Dr. GWAMNA, solicited for support and collaboration with FMC, Keffi, to strengthen their Healthcare referrals to tertiary services, due to the limitation of NSHIA's scope to only Primary and Secondary healthcare services, so as to meet the healthcare needs of Nasarawa State at all levels.
Dr GWAMNA, said FMC, keffi is the only Tertiary healthcare provider in the senatorial district beyond and and hinted that NSHIA's referrals end at general hospitals.
He
asked for collaboration from FMC, keffi, to allow the agency register enrollees who want FMC, keffi as their Tertiary facility to access healthcare.
The Medical Director/Chief Executive, FMC, Keffi, Dr. Yahaya Baba Adamu, who welcome the new development, expressed enthusiasm about the programme and the partnership for development of Nasarawa State, he assured the Agency of the Centre's support.
He encouraged the group to bring up programmes to enlighten and create awareness to the people of Nasarawa State about the new development through different media platforms to facilitate its speedy implementation.
Also speaking, the NHIS coordinator, FMCK, Dr Christopher Abimiku said, universal healthcare coverage is important, but the sustainability rely solely on payment of bills and he assured NSHIA of getting maximum supports through NHIS of FMC Keffi.
