THE RELEVANCE OF ANNIVERSARY IN ONE'S LIFE AND SOCIETY AT LARGE (BIRTHDAY AS CASE OF STUDY).
Anniversaries are an important part of life. They remind us of important events, both personal and cultural. Whether we're marking a birthday, a wedding. It's a chance reflect on a relationship or a cultural identity, to come together to remember a person who's died, or to celebrate a joyous event. Whatever the anniversary, it gives us a chance to look back over the years since the event we're marking, and reflect on how it has shaped us.Birth, marriage and death are important life anniversaries that connect family members and relationships. Despite the name, birthdays are anniversaries. However, most people associate the word "anniversary" with marriage as well as use it to note the years that have passed since losing a loved one.Celebrating an anniversary shows that our marriages, birthdays e.t.c is a priority in our life. It also gives us a chance to pull back from the daily grind and relive a moment that changed our life forever. Marking the date helps us remember the past in a positive light.Using birthday as the case of study, birthday is the anniversary of the day on which a person was born, typically treated as an occasion for celebration and the giving of gifts. According to the book of Psalm 71:6,
Birthdays are a celebration of another year of living, God is the one who gave us life, and we should not forget to glorify him for all that he has done and will do. We should praise him always. Birthday are very important in one's life and society at large.
Birthdays mark a unique moment in time. As the name implies, it marks the day that you came into the world, AMD it is a reminder that you have been given one more year and also a reminder that you're going close to your grave.
Birthday gives us a chance to reminisce. We are often looking forward in our lives rather than looking back. That’s why the front window is much bigger than the rearview mirror. However, taking a moment to think about all that was accomplished or achieved over the past year and since the origins of the business, relationship or accomplishment, gives more meaning to why you did it in the first place. It allows you to stop and realize what the time passed has meant to you and those around you. Reminiscing helps renew your original feelings and displays how far you’ve come.
We highlights what that is important in birthdays. It’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind. We may get completely overwhelmed with things we have to do that we forget what we love to do. Birthdays offer a moment to remind ourselves why we began this venture and journey in the first place, growing over and over again. Birthdays enable us to take time out from the chaos of life to reinforce how this whole thing started in the first place.
Gratitude and attitude. Birthdays are a time to express gratitude for the blessings in our lives, such as our family, friends, and experiences. Our loved once in the other hand share in our joy of adding another year by gifting us what they know we will cherish AMD the celebrant reciprocating the gesture by saying "thank you".
Birthdays help is to refresh. Birthdays are also a time for self-care and self-reflection, to take stock of our physical, mental, and emotional health, and to set goals for self-improvement. We take a day off work and do things that pleases us.
In conclusion, birthdays are important because they allow us to celebrate life, reflect on the past, and look forward to the future. Life began with your birth. God created you to serve a purpose in the world. Having a birthday is a confirmation that you were put on this earth for a specific purpose. The celebration of your birthday allows you to achieve your goals yet again. Birthdays are momentous occasions to be remembered, much like a nation's birth or a company's founding. However, a birthday goes far beyond receiving gifts. The day of your birth is a time to commemorate and celebrate a major event in your life, to give thanks for being alive to celebrate this birth, and to think back on how lucky you are to be still alive.
