Prayer for July 18, 2025

Faithful God,
I know You are not a man that You should lie.
You don’t break Your promises.
You don’t forget Your children.

But Lord, I confess
Sometimes the wait is hard.
Sometimes my faith feels weak.
Sometimes I feel like letting go.

Today I ask for strength to hold on.
Help me trust Your heart even when I don’t understand Your hand.
Help me believe that every word You’ve spoken over my life will come to pass in Your perfect time.

Thank You that Your faithfulness doesn’t depend on my feelings.
You are faithful when I’m full of faith,
And You’re faithful when I’m struggling to believe.

Remind me of all the times You’ve come through before.
Remind me that You’re the same God—yesterday, today, and forever.
And let my life be a testimony of Your goodness.

I choose to wait with hope.
I choose to trust You.
And I declare: You will finish what You started in me.

In Jesus’ unfailing name,
Amen.

Word for the Day – July 18, 2025

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” — Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV)

There are moments when life doesn’t look anything like the promises God gave you.
You pray, but nothing changes.
You believe, but the breakthrough feels far away.
And you start wondering, “Did I hear God wrong? Is He really going to come through for me?”

But here’s the truth: God’s faithfulness is not tied to your circumstances.
His promises are not canceled because of delays.
If He said it, He will do it.

God is not like people, He doesn’t forget, He doesn’t lie, and He never breaks His word.
Even if it’s taking longer than you expected,
His timing is perfect, and His faithfulness is sure.

So don’t stop believing.
Don’t stop confessing His promises over your life.
If He brought you this far, He won’t leave you now.

Jane had prayed for years to have a child.
Doctors told her it was impossible. Friends said, “Maybe it’s time to give up.”
But Ada kept declaring, “The God who opened Sarah’s womb will open mine too.”

At age 44, she held her miracle baby boy.
When people asked how she stayed hopeful, she said:

Prayer for July 17, 2025

Father,
You know how overwhelmed I feel right now.
So many moving parts.
So many questions.
So many things I can’t fix on my own.

But today, I choose to stop striving.
I choose to quiet my racing thoughts.
I choose to lay it all at Your feet.

You are God, and I am not.
You hold the world in Your hands.
You see the beginning from the end.
And nothing in my life has caught You by surprise.

Teach me how to rest in Your sovereignty.
Give me the faith to trust that You’re working, even when I can’t see it.
Calm the storms in my heart.
Anchor me in Your unshakable peace.

Lord, remind me that You’re not asking me to figure everything out.
You’re asking me to trust You with everything.

I surrender my plans, my fears, my timeline.
Take control, God.
Do what only You can do.
And while I wait, help me to be still
Not because the storm is over,
But because I know the One who speaks “Peace, be still.”

Thank You for being faithful.
Thank You for being in control.
Thank You that my life is safe in Your hands.

In Jesus’ mighty name,
Amen.

Word for the Day: July 17, 2025

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)

Life can feel like a whirlwind.
One phone call, one bill, one unexpected challenge, and suddenly, everything seems chaotic.
You’re left asking: “Where is God in all of this?”

But in the middle of the noise, God whispers:
“Be still and know that I am God.”

This isn’t a passive stillness.
It’s a faith-filled stillness.
A stillness that says:
“Though I don’t see the full picture, I trust the One who does.”

Remember: God is not pacing the floor of heaven wondering how to fix your situation.
He’s not surprised by the twists and turns of your story.
He is still seated on the throne.
And if God hasn’t lost control of the universe,
He hasn’t lost control of your life.

Ben was a business owner whose company nearly collapsed after a fire destroyed his shop.
He lost everything overnight.

For weeks, he couldn’t sleep, tormented by anxiety.
One evening, as he scrolled through his Bible app, Psalm 46:10 appeared as the verse of the day:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”

He whispered, “Lord, I can’t fix this, but I trust You can.”

Within months, a friend connected him to an investor who helped him rebuild.
Today his business is thriving, and he says:
“When I stopped trying to control everything, I made space for God to move.
