The workload in the healthcare system is overwhelming due to a serious shortage of manpower. In many facilities, you find just one Nurse covering an entire shift, sometimes lasting up to 12 hours, while managing many patients at the same time. This level of responsibility is far beyond what one person can safely handle and is dangerous to the health of the Nurse. Overtime, the Nurse who is is meant to care for others, becomes exhausted, burnt out, and may end up needing care as well. Nurses are humans too, not machines, and their well-being must be protected. The workload is exhausting and unsafe, placing both patients and Nurses at risk.

‎I see how many young Nurses are busy looking for jobs. I see the struggle. Jobs are not easy to come by, and when they come, some pay ₦20k, ₦30k, ₦50k monthly—yet the bills are many, the responsibilities are heavy, and the needs never end.

‎But let me tell you this: that is not the end of your story. That is only the beginning.

‎That first job, no matter how small it looks, will count in the end. Your story will be good. So to every Nurse earning small right now—do not give up, and do not settle.

‎2026 is here.
‎In 2026, build capacity as a Nurse.

‎Go for certificate courses.
‎Register for trainings, seminars, and workshops.
‎Pursue additional qualifications.
‎Attend meetings, conferences, and professional trainings.
‎There are many free certificate courses—take advantage of them. Collect the certifications and keep applying for bigger opportunities.

‎Keep applying.
‎Write the exams and don't be afraid. Sit for them again when you fail, failure is part of the Journey, John Maxwell called it "failing forward"
‎Do not stop because you failed once. Do not stop because it looks slow.

‎In 2026, prepare to travel.
‎Dream of working abroad as a Nurse.
‎Dream of studying abroad as a Nurse.

‎Wherever you see opportunity, apply.
‎Do not disqualify yourself.
‎Do not look down on your journey.

‎God will open doors for you in 2026.
‎You will get a job that pays well.
‎A job that settles your bills and still leaves you with abundance.
‎A job that brings consistency, growth, and peace.

‎The sky is not your limit—it is your starting point.

‎Nurses are great.
‎You are great.
‎And you will achieve great things in life.

‎You are not stopping here.
‎You are not stopping here.
‎God is taking you somewhere.

‎See you in 2026.
‎I will be glad to hear your story.

‎This message is for every young Nurse and student Nurse coming up.
‎Your future is bright. Keep going.

I did not hit her, I do not know what happened to her head, I only used a book to stone her (that's all) because her actions was more than insults

Updated:
Reportedly, the issue is now under control following timely intervention from the Ministry and the Delta State Government. The doctor involved has been punished and is currently facing sanction. The affected nurse has also been compensated by the Government through the Management.

Kudos to the Unit NANNM Chairman.👏🏾👏🏾

The hospital system can and should do more by fostering collaboration, mutual respect, and accountability. When healthcare professionals work together as a team, patient care improves, conflicts reduce, and the system becomes stronger for everyone.

‎No doctor has the right to slap, assault, or physically abuse a Nurse anywhere, under any circumstance.

‎Doctors and Nurses are both licensed professionals. No license confers authority to violate another person’s dignity or bodily safety. Physical assault is not discipline, not leadership, and not professionalism. It is a criminal offense.

‎The consequences are serious:

‎Physical assault is punishable under the law, regardless of workplace hierarchy.

‎Professional misconduct can lead to suspension or revocation of license.

‎Institutions that tolerate such behavior risk legal liability, public outrage, and loss of trust.

‎Violence destroys teamwork, morale, and ultimately patient safety.

‎Therefore, let the hospital authority and relevant regulatory bodies investigate the matter very well and take necessary actions

‎Healthcare will not change because Nurses work harder.
‎It will change when Nurses think differently, speak confidently, and act strategically.

‎The future of Nursing depends on leaders who can:

‎♦️Influence policies, not just adapt to them.

‎♦️Challenge unsafe norms, not normalize them.

‎♦️Shape systems, not suffer inside them.

‎Nursing needs practical leadership

‎Skilled hands save lives.
‎But strong Nurse Leaders change healthcare.
