Dear Preggie-fine, those shoes 👠 hurt!!!

There is no doubt that shoes, especially stiletto, add class and elegance to our looks.

The aura and poise you give when you sashay in those heels turns necks.
In sincerity, I consider women who control the hip and ankle movement synchronously a mini-god.

While this is indisputable, we also understand that, as a career mom, you would get pregnant at one point in your career. So, this post is to help you stay safe while maintaining your elegance in your workplace.

A good consideration should be made while picking shoes to wear during pregnancy. It's important to note that shoes can have a negative impact on your pregnancy.

While pregnant women are at risk of having leg swelling, back pain, leg pain and loss of balance, wearing a stiletto heel can worsen the occurrence. It can even exaggerate their presentation, which in-turn can increase your risk of pregnancy loss.

There is a way to keep fashion at its best while ensuring safety for you and your little one.

One of the lifestyle changes in pregnancy involves our fashion.

Instead of high heels, you may consider block heels less than 3 inches, flat shoes, sandals and sneakers.

At Preggify, we provide information and services to make your pregnancy and motherhood seamless while you pursue your career goal.

When exactly should a woman resume sexual intimacy after delivery?

Before we delve into this, let's talk about v@ginal bleeding after delivery.

When I saw this image on Twitter (X), a lot of women and men were worried about the bl3eding part.

It dawned on me that a lot of people didn't know what LOCHIA was.

What's LOCHIA?

After delivery, a woman's womb doesn't suddenly heal or close up.

There are minor injuries from where the placenta inserted , and also some mild remnants of blood clothes and dead tissues.

These things need to find their way out of the womb. So, after delivery, the body keeps releasing oxytocin to squeeze the womb and clear off those things.

In the same process, it tightens the blood vessels there to gradually reduce the amount of bleeding until it finally stops.

This is a normal way a woman's body works after delivery and can last as short as 2 weeks, especially in C-section women and as long as 8 weeks in other women.

While LOCHIA is normal, the presence of excessive bleeding that makes a woman change at least 3 filled pads daily should be reported to the doctor or midwife.

Also, the presence of severe cramps that can be rated above 6/10 on a scale of 1 to 10 sh0uod be reported to the doctor for assessment.

More so, the presence of foul-smelling discharge or large clots of blood MUST be reported to the doctor.

Whether these happened in the presence of high temperature or not doesn't make it less serious.

Talking about the Resumption of Intimacy after delivery.

There is no mark on a line to the day it is this time. However, a woman is expected to give herself the grace to heal for 4- 6 weeks.

She also needs to be sure her tear or episiotomy has healed well and certified by her midwife or doctor. This is to avoid breakdown.

During this period, if sexual in*******se must happen, it must not be coerced or manipulated against the woman's wellbeing.

It should also be protected using barrier methods to prevent infections and unplanned pregnancy.

Mental and physical readiness is very important, and communication on comfort, likes, and dislikes just be put into consideration during in*******se.

Finally, the use of safe l***s can help to make the experience smoother and more exciting.

I hope this helps.
