I am delighted being invited as faculty to the 15th Indo-Korean endoscopy course holding at Dehradun a beautiful city at the foothills of the Himalayan mountains.

I am honoured to be invited as faculty for the 14th Congress of the World endoscopic spine society taking place in the 'City of Djinns' , New Delhi, India next year. I hope to share our experience with this emerging technology here in Nigeria. I encourage all spine enthusiasts and surgeons ready to learn this technique to join us for this historic event!

Endoscopic spine surgery greatly reduces approach morbidity ( wound problems) for obese patients. The direct approach to the spine with minimal retraction regardless of amount of fat is indeed a marvel of technology.
This patient had problems at 2 levels in the spine which was addressed by a combination of 2 techniques. The interlaminar ( from the back) and the transforaminal approach ( from the side)
In my opinion endoscopic spine surgery is here to complement and not compete with open spine surgery.
Ultimately our patients are the winners here!

I recently attended the international society for hip arthroscopy annual scientific meeting which held in Cape Town, South Africa.. This is the first meeting in the continent and featured an Africa day to discuss how to advance the practice of hip preservation in Africa.
Personally it was an enriching experience for me I learnt a lot and also shared my experience with hip preservation surgery in Nigeria. I met old friends and made new ones, hopefully through collaborations we can help advance the practice and save more hips in Nigeria!
