Kate: Doc am not happy with my eyes.
Doctor: What is the complain about?
Kate: Am just notcomfortable with my vision. Doc, please are there foods or things I can do to keep my eyes healthy always?
The eye is one of the five sense organs, is an organ for sight. It’s the most valuable sense organ, as 80% of what we perceive is from sight. Vision affects our quality of life greatly, is an essential part of everyday life for “sight is life, sight is wealth’’.
Many body diseases cause changes in the eyes by their effect in vision, thus the eye is known as the window of the body, a healthy living is an important part of good vision.
Negligence of our eyesight may lead to loss of vision, we should, therefore, try to maintain and protect our precious sight, to enjoy many more years of good vision.
Caring for your vision does not begin and end with glasses, contact lens and eye surgeries, your health is wrapped up in your lifestyle and gene so overall care is essential.
As it’s important to keep your body healthy, you also need to keep your eyes healthy, for
"a healthy eye is a healthy body ".
