HOW TO REDUCE THE CHANCES OF STROKE OR ANY OTHER HEART RELATED PROBLEMS LIKE BLOOD PRESSURE AND HEART ATTACK
• ALWAYS MAINTAIN A HEALTHY WEIGHT
An overweight person has a higher chance of suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and other heart diseases.
To maintain a healthy weight eat nutritious diet, avoid junk foods as much as possible and ensure you exercise for 30-60mins or perform at least physical activities for 30-60 mins for each day in a week, perform a dog work for 20mins, brisk walking for 30 minutes.
For elderly parents do exercise for 10-15 mins every day. Like brisk walking or stroll.
• LIMIT YOUR FAT AND CHOLESTEROL INTAKE
Choose fat free or low fat dairy, use oil that is low in cholesterol in preparing foods. Instead of using fatty foods like butter, margarine, use olive oil, peanut, corn, sunflower and soy bean.
Eat whole grain foods like brown rice, wheat, millet, whole wheat pasta.
• EAT FISH THAT HAS OMEGA 3's
Eat fish that has omega 3 fatty acid example salmon oil, tuna fish. Instead of frying the fish, bake or grill the fish. Walnut and soybeans has large amounts of omega 3 . This component breaks down the fatty acids that are harmful to you. It also develops the brain and reactivates the neurons in the brain.
• EAT PLENTY OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
Fruits have high amount of potassium, calcium and magnesium, folate and antioxidants for general health. this is very good for all ages from children to age-old adults. They prevent further heart problems and also possess detoxifying effect on the liver. At least eat 3 fruits and vegetables daily.
• STOP DRINKING ALCOHOL
Drink alcohol moderately atleast 1-2 glasses of alcohol or stop drinking alcohol completely. Not only does it slow down the healing effect of the liver, it destroys the liver Invariably damaging other organs.
• LIMIT SALT INTAKE
Reducing the amount of salt in your food can also help improve your blood pressure management. Salt has a large contributing factor to increasing blood pressure.
Reducing your salt level to atleast a pinch of salt or Invariably no salt protects you from further heart problems.
• STOP SMOKING
Do not smoke, stop smoking. This alone damages both your lungs and heart and also have its own psychological effect on the brain.
SLEEP
Lack of sleep results to day time sleepiness, sleeping for 8 hours contributes to stabilizing your body nervous system. But lack of sleep Invariably contributes to increasing your blood pressure. Due to consistent release of hormones. Sleep at least 8 hours to improve your brain and heart health.
• AVOID THE USE OF ILLICIT DRUG AND ABUSE OF DRUGS
Stop the abuse of drugs and Illicit drugs it's damages the heart and other organs. Kidney damage, liver damages and hypertension e.t.c originates from abuse of drugs like co***ne, ni****ne, ma*****na E.T.C.
