Mpox OUTBREAK: MAJOR SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF THE DISEASE
Mpox, a disease caused by the monkeypox virus, presents a variety of signs and symptoms that can range from mild to severe. Understanding these indicators is crucial for early detection and treatment.
Individuals with mpox usually develop a rash that can appear on the hands, feet, chest, face, mouth, or around the ge****ls, including the p***s, testicles, l***a, va**na, and a**s. The incubation period ranges from 3 to 17 days.
The rash can initially look like pimples or blisters and may be painful or itchy.
Other symptoms of mpox may include fever, chills, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, muscle aches and back pain, headache, and respiratory issues like a sore throat, nasal congestion, or cough.
The symptoms begin within 21 days of exposure to the virus. If you experience flu-like symptoms, a rash will likely develop within 1 to 4 days afterward. If you notice symptoms like a rash, it's important to see a healthcare provider.
