*_What is Ovarian Cancer?_*
A cancer that begins in the female organs that produce eggs (ovaries).
Ovarian cancer is when abnormal cells in the o***y begin to multiply out of control and form a tumor. If left untreated, the tumor can spread to other parts of the body.

Ovarian cancer may cause several signs and symptoms that seem insignificant and are easy to ward off.

*Causes of Ovarian cancer*
A few reasons have been linked to the cause of _ovarian cancer_, such as;
hormonal therapy, lifestyle, and hereditation.

*Symptoms*
Women are more likely to have symptoms if the disease has spread, but even early-stage ovarian cancer can cause them. The most common symptoms include:

🌸 Bloating
🌸 Pelvic or abdominal pain
🌸 Trouble eating or feeling full quickly
🌸 Urinary symptoms such as urgency or frequency (having to go often).

Others symptoms of ovarian cancer can include:
🌸 Fatigue (extreme tiredness)
🌸 Upset stomach
🌸 Back pain
🌸 Pain during s*x
🌸 Constipation
🌸 Menstrual irregularities, such as heavier bleeding than normal or irregular bleeding
🌸 Abdominal (belly) swelling with weight loss

*How is ovarian cancer diagnosed?*
Your ovaries are situated deep within the abdominal cavity which makes it quite difficult to diagnose. If you are concerned that you have an _ovarian cancer_, get a pelvic examination done.
The following tests would also help detect _ovarian cancers_

*The cure*
Ovarian cancer in most cases has curative approach of surgery and/or chemotherapy.

*MUST DO AFTER AGE 45*

*By Pharm. Lawal Muhammed*

1-Regular exercise, this must be graduated and suitable for your health/social status - stop eating hides and skin "kpomo" it's a slow killer.

2- Observe regularly siesta, even if you don't fall asleep, just have a quiet time, put off your phone or put it in silence mode while observing siesta.

3- Always sleep on the same bed with your spouse even if you do not have intention of intimacy with her. It has a lot of benefits, it reduces stress hormone (cortisol) level.

4- As much as possible, sleep on your left side when sleeping especially at night, this helps to drain the system of toxic substances through the lymphatic system. For the muslims, you can start with your right hand side to say your prayers before you sleep after which you can change later. I hope you understand?

5- Do not immediately rise on your feet after you wake up from sleep especially at night, remain on your sleeping position for (20- 30 sec) even if you are pressed, then rise to a sitting position for same time, then you can stand up and walk. This helps to prevent sudden brain damage that could lead to stroke.

6- Have regular s*x (legal), 2-3 times a week is recommended. Making love is more beneficial than having s*x. I hope you understand? This has a lot of health benefits ranging from your heart, prostate, brain etc

7- Avoid cold bath as much as possible it should be warm. This also helps in reducing chances of stroke/heart attack.

8- Routine drugs to take on daily bases are: Tab vasoprin (Aspirin) 75mg daily if you don't have ulcer, Strong antioxidants e.g natural vit. E, 1caps daily, in addition to these, ladies are expected to be on regular Calcium supplement or biscuit bones especially after menopause, this helps in minimising osteoporosis as a result of bone leaching that women experience post menopause. A condition that most mistake to be rheumatism.

9- Know your body mass index (BMI) and work towards maintaining ideal BMI (20 - 25 kg/m square). If not done, this has a lot of health implications ranging from sudden death, metabolic disorder like diabetes; Cardiovascular disorders like hypertension, heart attack, stroke; infertility problems like an ovulation in females; Neuromuscular problems like rheumatism; & Respiratory distress amongst others. You see that there are a whole lots of problems if you don't keep fit. Obesity is not a sign of good living but ill health.

10- Drink a lot of water (Luke warm) in a day, 2 to 3 litres of water per day can help in keeping your system adequately hydrated and helps your kidneys function properly.

11- Cut down your stress level both physical/mental/psychological/emotional and take time out for recreational activities especially those that will make you happy/laugh.

12- Avoid social poisons like kolanut, ci******es, energy drinks, alcohol/alcoholic drinks, though some schools of thought say certain % of alcohol per day is good for the heart. Note that bitter kola "O'ro" is highly medicinal and it's good for our health, particularly for females. It's a powerful anti oxidant, it helps to prevent all forms of malignancies be it cancer of the breast, cervix, prostate e.t.c, it helps to improve male s*xual performance, slows aging process, reduces severity of rheumatism, slows process of dementia/amnesia, helps to prevent diabetes mellitus/ diabetic complications in diabetic individuals, prevent/slow the growth of fibroids and a whole lots. In fact, I would recommend 1 nut of bitter kola per day for everyone age 40 years and above. Note that, it's not too safe if you have peptic ulcer especially Gastric. It could worsen the symptoms of ulcer.

13-Avoid caffeinated beverages like Millo, Bournvita etc for green tea.

14- Avoid processed foods as much as possible like noodles, pasta, can foods etc.

15- Avoid sitting on a spot beyond two hours max., stand and walk around after one and a half or max two hours of sitting. It's for the health of your GIT - gastrointestinal tract. More so it averts chances of haemorrhoid (pile).

16- Avoid sugar including honey, yes HONEY! It will eventually give you that same problem that made you stop sugar, it will only take a longer time.

17- Regular health check.

For all this issues there is a HEALTH GARDE Supplement for you

Imbibe the culture of preventive medicine and not curative medicine.

I hope these few lines will be of help in improving our quality of life?

SOLUTION TO FEMALE INFERTILITY

My conversations with TTC mums always follow this order.

Check list:

✔Have you and your husband done any medical examination or fertility tests?

✔Do you have the result of your hormonal assay, ultrasound scan and HSG?

✔Do you have the result of your husband's semen analysis, culture test & hormonal assay?

✔For couples who have had a child before but having delay in conceiving another child, I do advise them to also go back and get some medical examination or fertility tests done. Why?

*Secondary Infertility is still infertility*

Get A Fertility Test, Today !

For women having a recurring miscarriage:

✔ I also ask what their doctors have done to prevent a reoccurrence of miscarriage.

✔ I do advise them to go back for some medical examination or fertility tests. Why? Because recurring miscarriage is still infertility.

Also having still births is still infertility, so long as you haven't put to bed a living & healthy baby, it is still infertility.

My advise to couples with either primary or secondary infertility remains:

✔Go with your husband or wife for some medical examination or fertility tests

Now the reports of these three medical examination or fertility tests: must be upload for me to see for myself. I don't accept word of mouth reports.

Some, women will say yes, Doctor, the test are all OK. I am OK. It's my husband that has low or nil s***m count or has Staphylococcus.

I will simply respond: Okay that's fine ma, but please upload your own reports for me to take a 👀 at them.

👀 - Hormonal Assay ✔
👀 - Pelvic scan or USS ✔
👀 - High Vaginal Swab HVS ✔
👀 - Hysterosalpingogram HSG ✔

These uploaded reports usually gives me an insight into a woman's reproductive health.

✔For a woman with hormonal imbalance, the hormonal assay gives me insight into which hormone is high or low and guides me on where to begin the treatment plan to resolve it.

✔Hormonal assay to check for the FSH, LH, Progesterone, Estrogen & Prolactin levels because studies have shown that women who suffer Hormonal imbalance in any of the above listed hormones can be root cause of infertility.

In my Fertility Classes on WhatsApp; we have addressed the issue of High FSH, High Prolactin (Hyperprolactinemia), Low Progesterone, High Estrogen levels and how they impact on menstrual cycle, ovulation, egg quality & inability to conceive a baby or how it can cause recurring miscarriages, pre term labour/delivery, still birth etc.

✔For some women, the pelvic scan will show the obstruction in the pelvic, either Uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, PCOS, Endometriosis, Pelvic inflammatory disease (chlamydia or gonorrhea)

Also, I may request a culture sensitivity test for further investigation of other infection types present and the level of toxicity

✔ HVS ~ High Vaginal Swab (or Culture & sensitivity test) will show perhaps if it is Mild, scanty, moderate or heavy growth of a named isolated infection; eg Staphylococcus, E coli, Coliform, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphillis, Ge***al herpes, Bacterial Vaginosis BV, Cervicitis etc.

If there is infection in the report then I will examine: the Hysterosalpingogram ~ HSG

✔ HSG will show if the fallopian tube(s) is (are) patent; that is free or blocked. If there is a blockage, it will reveal which of the tubes, Left or Right that is blocked.

Topic: Understanding The Relationship Between the Reports of Hormonal assay, Pelvic scan, HVS, HSG & Female Infertility.
