WHY DOES NI**LE PAIN HAPPEN AFTER CHILD BIRTH??
Hello, incredible mama! ๐๐
As you start your breastfeeding journey, you might find that your ni***es feel sore, tender, or even quite painful. This is so common, but please know you don't have to just "tough it out." Ni**le pain can make feeding stressful, and we want to help you find comfort and peace.
Ni**le pain is usually a sign of one of two things:
1. Latching Issues: In the first few weeks, the most common reason for pain is a shallow latch.. This means your baby is only getting the ni**le into their mouth, not a good, large portion of the darker area (ar**la) as well. The constant rubbing on the small, sensitive tip can lead to soreness, cracking, or blisters. As you and your baby learn, the latch gets better, and the pain usually goes away.
2. Skin Change: Right after birth, your body is getting used to the powerful sucking action. The skin of your ni***es is stretching, softening, and adjusting to the constant moisture and friction. Itโs like breaking in a new pair of shoesโit takes time for the skin to toughen up in a good way.
