HIDING AMONG THE BAGGAGE

BIBLE TEXT: 1Samuel 10:20-24

1Sam.10.20 So Samuel called the tribal leaders together before the LORD, and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen. (NLT)

1Sam.10.21 Then he brought each family of the tribe of Benjamin before the LORD, and the family of the Matrites was chosen. And finally Saul son of Kish was chosen from among them. But when they looked for him, he had disappeared! (NLT)

1Sam.10.22 So they asked the LORD, "Where is he?" And the LORD replied, "He is hiding among the baggage." (NLT)

Saul was chosen by God, he was prepared by God to be a king. He was head and shoulders taller than all men in Israel, and his valor was unmatched but when it was time for his glorification he couldn't be found because he was hiding among the baggage.

So many Singles have baggages and trauma holding them down, only healing can restore their self-esteem.

If you hide your trauma and your pain, it will become a cover that will prevent you from receiving the best from God. Many people cannot receive the spouse, financial breakthrough, healing, and freedom God has planned for them because they have a baggage holding them down.

What is your baggage? What has darken your heart with bitterness and resentment? What is preventing you from seeing and receiving the light of glorification? Run to the balm of Gilead today and embrace His healing grace.

MEMORY VERSE
Jer.8.22 Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then is there no healing for the wound of my people? (NIV)

DECLARATION
I'm the son/daughter of God Most High, and l have complete trust in my Father. I understand that when I hand over my baggages to Him, He can heal and restore me. I'm headed for total restoration Hallelujah!

GOD OF ALL GRACE

BIBLE TEXT: 1Peter 5:10-12

1Pet.5.10 In his kindness God called you to his eternal glory by means of Jesus Christ. After you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. (NLT)

1Pet.5.11 All power is his forever and ever. Amen. (NLT)

1Pet.5.12 I have written this short letter to you with the help of Silas, whom I consider a faithful brother. My purpose in writing is to encourage you and assure you that the grace of God is with you no matter what happens. (KJV)

As God's children, we have to understand that God's grace does not bring redemption alone; It also brings support, strength, and restoration.

This Grace is able to support you through your hard times, and give you the glorious settlement you desire.

You have to hold on to this grace as His dear children, knowing you have a loving, and intentional Father full of compassion.

God doesn't make mistakes, and all you'll ever pass through are meant to show forth is glory.

You are ever alone if you are God's son/daughter, you have to believe His grace is enough for you.

LOVE OF THE WORLD

BIBLE TEXT: 1John 2:15-17

1John.2.15 Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you. (NLT)

1John.2.16 For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world. (NLT)

1John.2.17 And this world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever. (NLT)

It is very easy to lose sight of God and godliness if you let yourself. So many Christian have forgotten who they are, and where they are going because of their desire to fit in.

The world's pleasure comes with pain, and if you follow the lust of this world you'll find yourself lost forever.

God wants us to be different, and He wants us to live as His ambassadors on earth. You should live a godly life with eternity in your heart.

You are not of this world, you belong to God. Do not let your desire for marriage, comfort, success, and abundance cause you to backslide.

Jas.4.4 You're cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. (MSB)

PREPARE FOR OPPORTUNITIES

BIBLE TEXT: Genesis 41:14-40

Gen.41.14 Pharaoh sent for Joseph at once, and he was brought hastily from the dungeon. After a quick shave and change of clothes, he went in and stood in Pharaoh's presence. (NLT)

Gen.41.15 "I had a dream last night," Pharaoh told him, "and none of these men can tell me what it means. But I have heard that you can interpret dreams, and that is why I have called for you." (NLT)

Gen.41.38 As they discussed who should be appointed for the job, Pharaoh said, "Who could do it better than Joseph? For he is a man who is obviously filled with the spirit of God." (NLT)

The equation for Success is Opportunity + Preparedness + Favour, None of these factors can work in isolation.

Some years back I needed someone to execute an important tech job, and a Christian brother was recommended to me. He appeared looking serious, with a bottle of anointing oil in his hands. When I gave him the blueprint of the job he promised it's something he could execute successfully. He smiled and said "I can do it", I didn't know if it was his faith talking or his professionalism.

We signed a contract and he started the job. Several months later, I discovered he had made a mess of the job and left it half way. After collecting a good part of the money every attempt I made to make him execute the job was met with resistance. I had to find someone to finish the job, and he quickly abandoned the project totally and bailed out of the contract.

Do not envy successful people, and never think they arrived at their pinnacle of success by sheer luck alone.

You have to go extra miles to prepare for opportunities, ensure you are qualified with an extra. Do not sacrifice diligence for faith, an inadequate man can frustrate the Grace of God upon his life.

Are you diligent in your business? Or you are just a mediocre waiting for divine manifestation with zero qualification?

Prov.22.29 Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men. (NKJV)

DECLARATION

YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN

BIBLE TEXT: Isaiah 49:14-17

Isa.49.14 But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, And my Lord has forgotten me." (NKJV)

Isa.49.15 "Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. (NKJV)

Isa.49.16 See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. (NKJV)

There are times that you feel stuck, even as a worshipping Christian you might feel the Lord has forgotten you.

So many Singles have called me weeping and trembling "Sis Sarah, I feel as if my life is stagnant. There is no marriage, success, or progress to celebrate. I'm clocking another year soon, and I feel as if there is nothing to celebrate."

We allow ourselves to be drawn into despair because we don't know the plans of God. He hasn't forgotten you, and He will never forget you.

You are His child, and He cares about every detail of your life. God is never late! Don't judge Him by your clock. Trust Him to show up at the appointed time.

Jer.29.11 I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out--plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. (MSB)

DECLARATION

GENUINE AND FAKE LOVE

BIBLE TEXT: Romans 12:8-10

Rom.12.8 If your gift is to encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. (NLT)

Rom.12.9 Don't just pretend that you love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Stand on the side of the good. (NLT)

Rom.12.10 Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other. (NLT)

It won't take much to figure out that genuine love is missing in our world today. In a world where people show love on camera and indifference when people are not watching, it's hard to detect what is genuine and what is not.

What is your motive for helping others, extending comfort and relieving their pains? Is it because you really care, or you just want to look good to others?

Remember that when you sow the seed of mercy, you'll reap kindness. When you go out of your way to help others genuinely God take note of it, and He'll definitely reward your obedience.

GOD'S DEAR CHILDREN

BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 4:5-7

Gal.4.5 God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves to the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. (NLT)

Gal.4.6 And because you Gentiles have become his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, and now you can call God your dear Father. (NLT)

Gal.4.7 Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, everything he has belongs to you. (NLT)

Many children of God has the "Slavery Mentality". They talk like a slave, dress like a slave, behave like a slave, pray like a slave, and have zero connection/relationship with their Heavenly Father.

You can't enjoy the privilege you are ignorant of, if only you knew how much of royalty you are! The way you talk, pray, and relate with God will definitely change!

Have you discovered your identity as a Christian? Do you walk in this new reality? Do you believe you have more of God in you than you are aware of?

This reality of who I am in the Kingdom of Christ has affected my mentality and shaped my perception of God. Oh! How lovely to be able to cry Abba Father! And have your needs met like royalty.

What is your identity in Christ? Do you believe you are God's precious child who is worthy of so much more?

DON'T WORRY, JUST PRAY

BIBLE TEXT: Philippians 4:6-7

Phil.4.6 Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. (NLT)

Phil.4.7 If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (NLT)

Worry will not help you much, it will only rob you of your youth and steal your health.

I have seen several Singles looking twice their age because of worry, singles in their late twenties looking like they are in their forties because they worry about what they cannot change.

Worry is a tool of the devil, he knows if he can get you to be neck deep in worry he can influence your decision making and put you under pressure.

Worrying cannot change your situation, instead pray and trust God. Believe God is Faithful, and He's intentional about giving you a beautiful future. All things will definitely work out for your good.

Rom.8.28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (NKJV)

DECLARATION

HIS SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH

BIBLE TEXT: Joel 2:28-32

Joel.2.28 "Then after I have poured out my rains again, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. (NLT)

Joel.2.29 In those days, I will pour out my Spirit even on servants, men and women alike. (NLT)

It is no news that we are in the dispensation of the Holy Spirit, and the revelation of God's word. God the Father deliberately poured out His spirit on all His children for guidance, discernment, and exploit.

It is not too difficult to identify young people that lack the spirit of God, their speech, manner of conduct, and ungodly desires give them away.

When you see someone that lacks vision, direction, and purpose in life, it signifies the absence of the Holy Spirit.

The dangers of making life choices without the Holy Spirit are numerous, one of them is lack of good judgement and costly errors that can bring fatal consequences.

You need the Holy Spirit to serve God right, make important decisions, and avoid the traps of the devil. Don't be a careless Christian, ask for the Holy Spirit today.

DECLARATION

NOT UNDER A CURSE

BIBLE TEXT: Num. 23:7-12

Num.23.7 This was the prophecy Balaam delivered: "Balak summoned me to come from Aram; the king of Moab brought me from the eastern hills. `Come,' he said, `curse Jacob for me! Come and announce Israel's doom.' (NLT)

Num.23.8 But how can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I condemn those whom the LORD has not condemned? (NLT)

Num.23.11 Then King Balak demanded of Balaam, "What have you done to me? I brought you to curse my enemies. Instead, you have blessed them!" (NLT)

So many Christian singles
believe the reasons they are yet to get married, become financially independent, or get their healing is because they are under a curse.

I have heard things like "I'm under attack from enemies of my Father/mother's house" or "There is one ancestral altar covering my glory".

Every failure, every setback, and every delay is being spiritualized and demonized. So many Singles blame everything on an imaginary "village people".

While I believe life is spiritual, and there are real enemies that can attack your testimonies, I also believe that overwhelming victory belongs to you as God's children.

God guard His children jealously, and nobody can harm you without His consent. When you live a godly and God-centered life, you don't have to fear attacks from enemies.

MEMORY VERSE
Rom.8.37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. (NLT)

DECLARATION
I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and I have complete trust in my Father's supremacy. I do not live in fear because I understand that overwhelming victory is my inheritance. I'm more than conqueror Hallelujah.

THE FUTURE AHEAD

BIBLE TEXT: Provs. 23:17-18

Prov.23.17 Don't envy sinners, but always continue to fear the LORD. (NLT)

Prov.23.18 For surely you have a future ahead of you; your hope will not be disappointed. (NLT)

There may be a time in your life when you begin to think that God is partial. You'll look around and see those that don't love God or serve Him prospering, getting married, traveling out of the country, building a profitable business etc

There have been several debate among young people whether it pays to serve God or not. Someone once lamented that worldly people marry early and have a chance at getting better life partners than Christians, things just seem to happen seamlessly for them even though they don't fear God.

There was a time in my life when I was waiting on God for the fruit of the womb, I looked around me and saw several people who had multiple ab0rti0ns in the past having more pregnancies they didn't even plan for, I broke down in prayer one day and whispered "God are you partial? I have kept myself and didn't live waywardly. Where are your promises?"

When I look back now, thinking about what God has brought me from and how much He had rewarded my obedience, I'm convinced that there is always a glorious future ahead for those that serve God diligently.

MEMORY VERSE
Heb.11.6 So, you see, it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that there is a God and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. (NLT)

DECLARATION
I'm a son/daughter of God Most High, and I have complete faith in my Father. I'm convinced there is a glorious future ahead of everyone that loves the Lord. I'm walking into my glorious breakthrough Hallelujah.
