Hi I’m a body focused somatic trauma trained EMDR holistic practitioner here to save you from the evils of conventional medicine using the wisdom from my conspiratorial beliefs and personal hardship with the public health system. Sounds legit to me 🙃

As a journalist, “bruh” really communicates a clear feeling and judgement of Attia’s email exchanges with Epstein such that we understand the true nature of Lugapoop’s character and moral compass.
What’s that s**t he says to people he gets triggered by in his own comment section? Low IQ comment, broski. It’s one thing to profit off of the spread of misinformation about public health information on your own podcast, and it’s quite another to not publicly condemn such disgusting dialogue with a known p**o phile simply because you admired the guy. Like a true journalist, I think his own words speak for themselves.

The narrative you hear depends on where you get your information. This doesn’t mean that psychiatric medication doesn’t come without side effects or real risks you have to consider, but that is something carefully reviewed by your medical team in order to make an informed decision embedded in the larger context of your quality of life.
Psychiatric medication saves lives and I’m so glad it’s a tool that my clients have access to if and when they need it. ***ff

Oxford definition of holistic: characterized by the belief that the parts of something are interconnected and can be explained only by reference to the whole.

MEDICINE
characterized by the treatment of the whole person, taking into account mental and social factors, rather than just the symptoms of an illness.
Literally the definition of evidence based conventional mental health, but who’s counting 🙃. Friendly reminder that if someone on instagram (professional wellness influencer, rogue MD/Ph.D, chiropractor, etc.) is demonizing evidence based conventional mental health practices, they 1. are unqualified to speak regarding the standards in the field and 2. Do not understand the definition of holistic practice. Oh and 3. Are going to sell you an unregulated and unproven supplement or protocol that will heal your gut and brain in less than 30 days, but we’re the grifters 🙃 Got it.

“Key to the successful transition to a KD in any population is dietary education and support, and likely particularly important in this population was the provision of prepared meals and snacks, as depression, psychosis, and other serious psychiatric symptoms may otherwise have made the logistics of adopting and adhering to the KD (or any new diet) formidable.”
Anyone telling you there’s evidence that ketogenic diets help to reduce serious symptomology from persistent mental health disorders doesn’t know how to appraise evidence. Case reports conducted for 3 weeks don’t provide the evidence needed to make recommendations.
There’s 0 studies looking at long term effects of a ketogenic diet for mental health. Probably because the diet significantly increases cardiovascular risk for disease which is an independent risk factor for depression and other mental health disorders and also probably because THE DAMN DIET IS UNSUSTAINABLE AND FORMIDABLE BECAUSE LESS THAN HALF OF THE PARTICIPANTS IN THE STUDY SHE REFERENCED WERE ABLE TO CONTINUE WITH THE DIET POST TREATMENT (🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃).

I’ve been thinking a lot about the vaccine schedule changes and how the third category of vaccines is now recommended through shared clinical decision-making. Which means that vaccination decisions are meant to be made through discussions between healthcare providers and families, based on individual risk factors. But this assumes one extremely important factor that significantly influences decision making: trust in your doctor. If you no longer trust the conventional medical system including your doctor who you believe is getting kickbacks from vaccine injections, then you aren’t going to be having discussions with your provider about risk factors and reasons for vaccinating your child against x disease. Your ideology will be dictating your decisions instead of allowing experts guide you through why this is an important health practice.
My biggest issue with this administration is the full force degradation of expertise and the definition of what qualifies as expertise while in the same breath telling you that you should still listen to your doctor. It’s a mixed message filled with underlying manipulative and emotional reasoning which many people will be susceptible to, leading to real consequences like less vaccinated children and inherently more severe illnesses and death. All in the name of irrational “wellness” ideology and beliefs.
Remember, don’t listen to for medical advice, this includes vaccination schedules, treatments for medical and mental health conditions, and dietary advice. He literally said so himself.

Natural ways to boost dopamine include psychiatric medications like Wellbutrin, Prozac and Zoloft. Oh, and they’re likely covered by your insurance and have clinical human studies providing evidence for their efficacy at certain doses for specific symptoms and disorders. Oh! Co***ne is also natural way to boost dopamine by pure definition of Big Wellness culture but that comes with a host of side effects so I’m not sure how and professional wellness influencers who receive kickbacks from selling supplements would categorize that 🙃

If we want to make therapy affordable again (which would make America healthier but whatever) then we need serious structural changes to our health insurance system. It would be super cool if someone in our government cared enough to fix this for the American people because otherwise this problem is just going to continue to get worse (more expensive). I won’t be pointing fingers because neither the Dems nor the Reps have figured this s**t out for us and they really need to. In the meantime, try to find a provider via insurance because it’s still worth it to do so or ask if a provider offers a sliding scale which will help reduce the price of sessions.

If dancing gets the message out more effectively well then I guess I’ll pivot 🙃. If you really want to know about the diet mental health relationship, I created a webinar for purchase that will be available in 2 weeks. Spoiler alert: the only stress busting food that is immediate is Xanax and it’s not a food, but who’s counting.
