Good Friday is a day of penance & reflection on the death of Christ for Catholics & all other Christians. You can still stay active today while honoring the fast, with these mindful fitness tips. Let’s balance body & soul. šŸ•Šļø

1. If your energy levels are affected by the fast, opt for gentler activities like walking, or yoga to stay active without overexertion. A 30min prayer walk, meditating on the Stations of the Cross, can combine physical movement with spiritual reflection.

2. A simple bodyweight circuit can also help you keep things light!
E.g. 10-20 push-ups (based on ability level)
- 15-20 squats
- 10- 20 mountain climbers
- 30 sec - 1min plank
Rest 1 minute between rounds. Repeat 3x.

3. Stay hydrated with water especially while fasting. Having a bottle of water handy during the Station of the Cross procession is also a great tip! Prioritize rest to avoid fatigue during liturgies. Listen to your body! šŸ’§šŸ˜“

4. Engage in spiritual exercises/practices like fasting, abstinence from meat and luxuries, silent prayer, or almsgiving as the day’s focus is on sacrifice. Remember, today is an obligatory day of fasting and abstinence.

In summary, Good Friday calls for humility & sacrifice. Move gently, pray deeply, & honor your faith.

Valentine’s Day is all about love, but don’t forget the most important kind, self-love! What better way is there to show love to yourself than by making healthier choices today?

šŸ« The chocolates, cakes, wine, and fancy dinners will be tempting, but here’s how you can enjoy the day without guilt:
āœ… Prioritize protein. It keeps you satiated for longer, so you don’t overeat the sweets.
āœ… Drink 2.5 -3L of water. Hydration is self-care too! šŸ’¦
āœ… Be mindful with treats. Enjoy them, but in small portions that don’t derail your goals.
