🚨🤰 DEAR PREGNANT WOMAN, PLEASE DON’T DO THESE 7 THINGS! 👶

Pregnancy is a delicate journey, and some habits can secretly harm you or your baby 😟 Read this carefully 👇

👉 1. Don’t take herbs or unprescribed drugs – They can cause m!scarriage or birth d£fects.
👉 2. Don’t skip antenatal care – Silent problems like high BP or low blood can only be det£cted in clinic.
👉 3. Don’t eat too much junk food – It increases r!sk of diabetes & big baby (hard labor).
👉 4. Don’t lie flat on your back after 20 weeks – It can reduce blood flow to your baby.
👉 5. Don’t lift heavy things – Can trigger preterm labor or back injury.
👉 6. Don’t hide warning signs – Report headaches, bleeding, or reduced baby kicks immediately.
👉 7. Don’t miss your supplements – Folic acid & iron protect both you and baby.

EPISIOTOMY CARE: How to Heal Faster “Down There” After They Cut You During Delivery 😖✂️

Nobody prepares you for the pain you’ll feel when trying to sit, p*e, or even laugh after that cut “down there” 😩

If your doctor gave you an episiotomy during birth (that’s when they cut the perineum to help baby come out), healing can be slow and frustrating.
But with the right care, you’ll bounce back faster 💪🏽

Here’s how to take care of your episiotomy wound 👇

🔻 DO’s (Things That Help Healing)
✅ Use warm sitz baths daily (it soothes pain and keeps it clean)
✅ Wash gently with clean water — no harsh soap
✅ Air it out when possible — lie down without pant
✅ Use maternity pads — not regular ones
✅ Take pain relief (as prescribed!)
✅ Eat soft foods to avoid straining during poo 💩
✅ Rest well and drink lots of water 🥤

🔺 DON’Ts (Avoid These O!)
❌ Don’t scrub the area
❌ Don’t apply powder or ointments not prescribed
❌ Don’t do heavy lifting
❌ Don’t rush back to s£x — wait till your doctor gives green light
❌ Don’t ignore signs of infection (bad smell, pus, fever) 🚨

💥Your healing is just as important as your baby’s care. You deserve comfort, rest, and support while your body recovers.

💔 The pain might be silent, but you’re not alone.

👑 Mama, you went through fire to bring life — now it’s time to heal like the queen you are.

🩺 Not All C-Sections Are the Same! 🤰✂️
Let’s talk about the different types of Cesarean (CS) cuts most people don’t understand.
They call it “just CS” but there’s a whole science behind those cuts! 👇👇

📌 Horizontal Cs, Vertical Cs & Abdominal Cs — what’s the difference?
Here’s the gist — and I promise you’ll learn something new today! 💡

🔹 1. The Horizontal Cs (aka Low Transverse CS)
This is the most common and preferred type of CS.
✅ A side-to-side (horizontal) cut made low on the ut£rus
✅ It bleeds less
✅ Heals better
✅ Lower r!sk of future complications
✅ Best for women who might want to try vagin@l birth (VBAC) next time

🧠 Most women who’ve had a CS had this type, even if the skin cut looks different!

🔹 2. The Vertical Cs (aka Classical CS)
This is RARE and only done in special emergencies 😮
A top-to-bottom (vertical) cut made high on the ut£rus
Used when: ✔️ The baby is extremely preterm
✔️ There's an emergency
✔️ There's fibroid or placenta blocking the lower part
But note:
❌ More bleeding
❌ Higher r!sk of rupture in future pregnancies
❌ No vag!nal delivery allowed after this one

🔹 3. The Abdominal Cs (What You See Outside!)
Now let’s clear the confusion 👉
Just because you see a horizontal or vertical scar on your skin doesn’t mean that’s how your ut£rus was cut.

✅ Abdominal CS refers to the cut on your tummy wall (not ut£rus)
It can be: — Pfannenstiel incision (horizontal, bikini line – most common)
— Midline incision (vertical, from below belly button down – used in emergencies)

🔍 So yes, a woman can have a horizontal cut on the skin, but a vertical cut on the ut£rus! That’s why doctors always check the ut£rus type before allowing a trial of labor in future births.

🧠 So next time someone says "CS is CS"... Tell them: NOPE! There’s levels to this!

👉 Knowing your own CS type is powerful. It helps your doctor plan the safest delivery next time, and it helps YOU make informed choices.

No one talks about how a urinary tract infection (UTI) in pregnancy can lead to early labor! 🚨🤰🏽💧

You feel a little burning when you p*e. You ignore it.
Maybe you feel the urge to p*e all the time but nothing really comes out…
Stop brushing it off. That might be a UTI — and in pregnancy, it’s serious.

Here’s what you need to know 👇

🔹 A UTI is an infection in your urinary system — bladder, kidney, or urethra
🔹 In pregnancy, UTIs are more common because your growing womb presses on your bladder and slows urine flow
🔹 If untreated, a UTI can travel to the kidneys or tr!gger early contractions and even preterm labor

✅ Watch out for these signs:

– Burning or pain while urinating
– Constant urge to p*e, even when your bladder is empty
– Lower abdominal pain
– Cloudy or smelly urine
– Fever or chills (in severe cases)

💡 What to do:

– Don’t ignore the signs — get a urine test ASAP
– Your doctor will prescribe safe antibiotics
– Drink plenty of water and unsweetened cranberry juice
– Wipe front to back. Stay clean. Empty bladder often.

Mama, a small infection can cause big problems — but only if ignored.

The earlier you treat it, the safer your baby stays.

💡 Why Folic Acid Is So Important:

✅ Prevents spinal cord and brain defects (like spina bifida)

✅ Helps your body make healthy red blood cells
✅ Reduces r!sk of m!scarriage

🕒 When Should I Start?

👉 Before pregnancy if possible
👉 Or as soon as you find out you’re pregnant
👉 Continue taking it as your doctor advises

💬 Mama, folic acid is a small pill with big protection.

I’m Always Tired — I Feel Lazy 😔

No mama, you're not lazy — you're growing a full human being!
Fatigue in pregnancy is real and valid.

💡 Why You Feel So Tired:

🧘🏾‍♀️ How To Cope:

✔️ Rest often — even short naps help
✔️ Eat iron-rich foods (like ugu, meat, beans)
✔️ Take your routine drugs and prenatal vitamins

Dear Pregnant Woman,

Why are you afraid to bond with your unborn baby?

You touch your belly, but you don’t talk to it.
You feel the kicks, but you ignore them.
You say, “Let me not get too attached — what if something happens?”

Mama, stop living in fear.
This baby needs you now — not just after birth, but even while inside your womb.

💞 Talk to your baby
💞 Sing to your baby
💞 Pray over your baby
💞 Rub your belly with love
💞 Imagine the joy of holding them

Your baby can hear your voice. Feel your touch. Respond to your energy.

Bonding isn’t just emotional — it helps baby’s brain grow and creates a beautiful connection early.

Don't let fear rob you of these precious moments.

Speak life. Speak love.
Your womb is a sacred space — fill it with warmth and peace.

Why Am I Always Angry or Crying During Pregnancy? 😡😭

One minute you're laughing… the next, you're crying because someone finished your suya 😭
Or you're angry because your partner breathed too loud 😤😂

Pregnancy mood swings are REAL—and no, you’re not going crazy.

Here’s what’s really going on inside you👇

🧠 Hormones are dancing azonto in your body.
Estrogen and progesterone levels are rising and crashing like NEPA light. That alone can mess with your emotions.

💤 You’re tired, uncomfortable, and sometimes overwhelmed.
And guess what? That’s enough reason to cry or feel irritable.

💬 You may not feel like yourself—and that’s okay.
You’re going through mental, emotional, and physical changes. Be gentle with yourself.

❤️ But here’s the part I want you to remember:

You are not weak.
You are not dramatic.
You are not “too emotional.”
You are pregnant. And your feelings are valid.

Please don’t bottle it up. Talk to someone. Cry if you must. Laugh when you can. Breathe always.

🌷And if you ever feel deeply sad, anxious, or withdrawn, especially for days—please talk to your doctor or midwife. Mental health matters.

Why You’re Always Out of Breath During Pregnancy 😮‍💨

Ever noticed how you climb just two stairs and suddenly you're panting like you ran marathon?
You're not alone, mama! Let’s break it down. 👇

💥 Shortness of breath in pregnancy is very common and here’s why:

1️⃣ Your hormones are working overtime.
Progesterone increases and affects your lungs—making you feel like you need more air even when you're resting.

2️⃣ Your growing uterus pushes against your lungs.
As baby grows, there's less space for your lungs to fully expand. That’s why you may feel breathless even while talking.

3️⃣ Your body is supplying oxygen for TWO.
You’re doing double work. Your heart and lungs are literally supporting two lives.

But here’s the good news 💛

✅ It’s usually harmless.
✅ It eases in the last few weeks when baby drops lower.
✅ Just slow down, sit upright, and take deep breaths.

🚨 But if you’re gasping badly, having chest pain, or it gets worse—see your doctor ASAP. Better safe than sorry.

Foods to Avoid During Pregnancy:

🍲🚫 Pregnant mama not every food is for you!
Your baby is what you eat—so eat wisely! 🤰👶

Yes, cravings are real… but some foods are BIG NO during pregnancy 😱
Here are 6 common foods to avoid for a safe and healthy pregnancy:

❌ 1. Raw or half-done eggs – They can carry harmful bacteria (Salmonella!)
❌ 2. Unpasteurized milk & cheese – R!sk of Listeria infection
❌ 3. Undercooked meat or fish – Baby no need that wahala abeg!
❌ 4. Excess caffeine (coffee, energy drinks) – It can affect baby’s growth
❌ 5. Alcohol – Even “small one” can damage baby’s brain 😓
❌ 6. Herbal concoctions – Unless approved by your doctor!

💡 Stick to clean, well-cooked meals, fruits, veggies, and lots of water.
Pregnancy is not a time to experiment with your health o! 😅
