Butter

Butter is a dairy product made by churning cream or milk until the fat separates from the liquid.
It has a creamy texture, a rich taste, and is commonly used for cooking, baking, or spreading on bread.

Key points about butter:
β€’ Contains milk solids, water, and butterfat.
β€’ Melts at a low temperature, so it burns easily.
β€’ Needs to be kept in the refrigerator.
β€’ Has a shorter shelf life compared to ghee.

Cheese

βΈ»

πŸ§ͺ How is Cheese Made?
1. Milk is heated
2. Starter bacteria are added to help the milk turn sour a little.
3. Rennet (an enzyme) is added to make the milk thick.
4. Milk forms curds.
5. Curds are cut, pressed, and aged to form cheese.

Detergent are very harmful and cannot ferment food. It only breaks the cassava down chemically while killing the good microbes and leaving harmful residues behind. So even if detergent softens cassava faster, it does not ferment it and it does not make it safe. True fermentation takes time, and that time is what protects our health.”

Herbs actually contain natural LAB on their surfaces, such as:
β€’ Lactobacillus fermentum
β€’ Lactobacillus plantarum

These bacteria can enter the cassava mash and boost fermentation.

This leads to:
β€’ Faster acid production
β€’ Quicker pH drop
β€’ Safer fermentation environment
β€’ Increased cyanide detoxification

So herbs soften cassava while supporting microbial safety.

Ever experienced this?
This is unique to some strains of bacteria 🦠

The slimy texture is likely due to the specific bacterial cultures used, while the yellow color is normal and caused by a natural pigment called beta-carotene and water-soluble vitamins like riboflavin.

Generally, if the whey smells and tastes normal, it is safe to consume, but you should look for other signs of spoilage.

Slimy Texture
The most common cause of a slimy, stringy, or ropey texture in homemade whey (or yogurt/curd) is the production of exopolysaccharides by certain strains of lactic acid bacteria.

Bacterial Strains
Some specific bacteria, such as certain Lactococcus cremoris cultures, are known to produce these long polysaccharide strands that make the liquid viscous or slimy.

Contamination
In some cases, airborne wild yeast or an imbalance in the bacterial culture can lead to an unusual texture.

Temperature
Inconsistent or low fermentation temperatures can also contribute to a less firm, sticky texture.

Yellow Color
A cloudy, yellowish, or even greenish-yellow color is entirely normal for whey and is not a sign of spoilage.
Beta-carotene: The yellow/orange pigment found in grass-fed milk (and thus the whey) comes from beta-carotene in the cows’ diet.
Vitamins: Water-soluble vitamins like riboflavin (Vitamin B2) also contribute to the natural yellowish hue of whey.

Is it Safe?
Slimy whey is usually safe to consume if there are no other signs of spoilage. However, you should inspect it carefully before use:

Smell: Fresh whey has a mild, tangy, or slightly sweet smell.
A strong, rancid, or unpleasant odor indicates spoilage.
Mold: Any visible mold means the product must be discarded immediately.

Taste: If the taste is bitter or very off from the expected mild tang, it’s best to throw it out.

To prevent this in future batches, ensure all your equipment is thoroughly cleaned, use a fresh and reliable starter culture, and maintain a consistent, warm fermentation temperature.

Reclaiming your health is not about being perfect. It’s about choosing yourself again.
Choosing rest when your body is tired.
Choosing peace when your mind feels heavy.
Choosing food that gives you energy, not stress.
Choosing habits that help you grow, even if the steps are small.

This journey is personal. It takes time. It takes patience.
But the moment you decide to take control again, everything begins to change.
You deserve to feel strong, balanced, and alive.
Your health is your home β€” and it’s never too late to return to it. 🌿

There’ll always come a time when you look at your life and say,
β€œI want better for myself.”
Not because you’re weak, but because you’re tired of surviving when you should be living.

Reclaiming your health means letting go of old habits, old pains, and old excuses.
It means giving your body the care it has been asking for.
It means giving your heart the peace it deserves.
It means giving your mind the clarity it has been missing.

Every day is a new page.
And today, you get to write a new chapter β€” a healthier, stronger, truer you.
Your comeback starts now. πŸŒ±πŸ’›
