🚨 BREAKING NEWS
STANLEY NWABALI AND CHIPPA UNITED PART WAYS BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has officially ended his stay at Chippa United following a mutual agreement between both parties.
The South African club confirmed that the Super Eagles shot-stopper formally submitted a request to be released from his contract, which was originally scheduled to run until June 2026.
After internal discussions and careful consideration, Chippa United agreed to grant the 29-year-old goalkeeper an early exit, bringing his time at the club to a close.
Just a few weeks ago, Chippa United were reportedly holding out for a fee of around R6.8 million in negotiations with Tanzanian powerhouse Simba SC, who had expressed concrete interest in signing Nwabali.
At the time, head coach Steve Barker was reluctant to sanction a move, particularly with the goalkeeper having only six months left on his deal and remaining an important figure in the squad.
Fast forward to the present, the situation has taken a decisive turn. Nwabali personally requested to move on, the club accepted his position, and the separation has now been finalized by mutual consent.
Simba SC are closely tracking developments and remain strongly interested in securing the services of the Nigerian goalkeeper, whose stock has risen following consistent club performances and his growing reputation on the international stage with Nigeria 🇳🇬.
