STRESS AND FERTILITY

Did you know that too much stress can affect fertility?
When the body is under stress, it produces hormones like cortisol that can interfere with reproductive hormones. This may affect ovulation in women and s***m quality in men.

👉 Effects of stress on fertility:

Irregular or missed periods

Delayed ovulation

Lower s***m count or quality

Reduced intimacy and emotional connection

NOTE:While stress alone may not cause infertility, it can make trying to conceive more difficult.

Simple Ways to Reduce Stress While TTC

âś” Practice relaxation (deep breathing, meditation, or prayer)
âś” Exercise lightly (walks, yoga, stretching)
âś” Journaling or talking to someone you trust
âś” Adequate sleep and rest
âś” Doing fun, calming activities you enjoy

Remember: Taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body on the fertility journey.

MYTH VS FACT: IVF

❌ Myth: IVF always guarantees pregnancy.
✅ Fact: IVF can increase the chances of pregnancy, but it’s not a 100% guarantee.

Success rates depend on:

âś” Age of the woman
âś” Egg & s***m quality
âś” Underlying health conditions
âś” Number of IVF cycles tried

Some couples succeed in the first cycle, while others may need multiple attempts. IVF is a powerful tool, but patience, medical guidance, and emotional support are all part of the journey.

Remember: Every fertility journey is unique. Don’t lose hope.

Fertility Foods. Nourishing Your Body for Conception

The food you eat plays a big role in reproductive health. While no food can guarantee pregnancy, some foods are known to support hormone balance, egg and s***m quality, and overall fertility.

Here are some fertility-friendly foods to add to your diet:

Leafy Greens – Spinach and broccoli are rich in folate, which supports healthy egg development. If you're around the environment where you can get ugu or garden egg leaf, please add them.

Berries 🍓 – Blueberries and strawberries are packed with antioxidants that protect eggs and s***m from damage.

Eggs – A great source of protein and choline, important for reproductive health.

Nuts & Seeds – Almonds, walnuts, flaxseeds, and pumpkin seeds provide healthy fats and zinc, which boost fertility.

Fatty Fish – Salmon, sardines, and mackerel are rich in omega-3s, which help regulate hormones.

Whole Grains & Root Veggies – Brown rice, oats, and sweet potatoes provide steady energy and support hormone balance.

And don’t forget, Staying hydrated is just as important!

Eating a balanced diet doesn’t just nourish your body — it helps create the best possible environment for new life.

Understanding Ovulation

Ovulation is one of the most important parts of the menstrual cycle, and it plays a big role in fertility.

Here’s what you need to know

It’s the process where a mature egg is released from the o***y, usually around the middle of the cycle (Day 14 in a 28-day cycle).

Why is it important?
This is the fertile window, the time when pregnancy is most likely if s***m meets the egg.

Signs of Ovulation:
âś” Slight rise in body temperature
âś” Cervical mucus becomes clear & stretchy (like egg whites)
âś” Some women may feel mild cramps (ovulation pain)

Fertile Window:
S***m can live in the body for up to 5 days, and the egg survives 12–24 hours.
This means the best chance for pregnancy is about 5 days before ovulation and 1 day after.

Understanding ovulation helps couples know the best time to try for pregnancy, and also helps with cycle awareness in general.

The menstrual circle explained in 4 simple stages

Stage 1: Menstrual Phase (Day 1–5)
Period time – the womb lining sheds.
This is when bleeding happens.

Stage 2: Follicular Phase (Day 1–13)
Egg is maturing in the o***y.
Womb lining starts growing again.

Stage 3: Ovulation Phase (Day 14)
The egg is released.
This is the fertile window, best chance for pregnancy.

Stage 4: Luteal Phase (Day 15–28)
The body waits: pregnant or not
If no pregnancy, womb lining breaks, next period begins.
And the cycle starts all over again
Every woman’s cycle can be a little shorter or longer, and that’s normal.
