Hello everyone! I will be talking about "yeast infection" today. The reason being that it is one of the common conditions seen in women. Yeast is a fungus that lives in the va**na in small numbers. A va**nal yeast infection is also known as va**nal candidiasis or bacterial vaginosis which can develop when there are too many yeast cells growing in the va**na.
There are number of physical signs that may indicate a yeast infection which includes;
-Itching,soreness,and overall discomfort in the va**nal area.
-Pain or burning during urination or s*x.
-Thick(like cottage cheese),white or grey discharge in the va**na,usually with unpleasant odour called "fishy smell".
Note that not all women experiences this symptom. Many women have yeast infection but they do not have any of the tell-tale symptoms.
Some potential causes of yeast infection are as follows;
Antibiotics: Antibiotics kill some of the good bacteria in our body,including the bacteria that prevents the overgrowth of yeast,which leads to yeast infections. If you have been taking antibiotics recently and are experiencing va**nal burning and itching,you might have a yeast infection.
Menstruation: Women are most likely to develop a yeast infection around the time of her period.
Birth control: Birth control pills and one-time morning after pills cause a change in hormone levels,which in turn can bring about a yeast infection.
Existing medical conditions: Disease or conditions such as HIV or diabetes,can also cause yeast infection.
Pregnancy: Due to the hormonal changes that accompany pregnancy,yeast infections are more likely during this time.
General health: Illness, obesity,poor sleeping habits, and stress can increase the likelihood of developing a yeast infection.
What increases the risk of yeast infection are:Wearing tight underwear or non-cotton panties(nylon panties). These styles of panties can be irritating.A weakened immune system.Using va**nal douches and/or perfumed feminine hygiene sprays.Vaginal trauma: Scratches in the va**na that occur during insertion of a tampon or other objects,or during rough s*x.
The risk of leaving an infection untreated are as follows:
Yeast infection can result in complications such as pelvic inflammatory disease(PID), pre-term births and low-birth weight babbies and put a woman at higher risk of s*xually transmitted infections such as HIV,herpes simplex virus(HSV),Chlamydia and gonorrhea.
Natural treatment for yeast infection.
Garlic kills yeast. That why does who bake bread know not to add garlic while the dough is rising or it will kill the yeast.
Here are some tips you can use:
-Take a clove of fresh garlic and peel off the natural skin or shell. At bedtime,put the clove into the va**na. In the morning,remove the garlic clove and throw it into the toilet. The garlic often causes the va**na to have a watery discharge. One night treatment may have be enough to kill the infection or it might have to be repeated the next night until the itchiness is gone. It is best done at night because there is a connection between the month and the va**na. The moment the garlic is place in the va**na,the taste of the garlic travels up to the mouth.
If the infection has advanced to the point that a woman has large quantities of white discharge and red sore labia,it can still be treated with garlic but with a higher dose. Use a dry tissue to remove some of the discharge,then take a clove of garlic and crush it then rub it on va**na,or cut the clove of garlic into two and insert it into the va**na and repeat it for a few nights.
