Fatty liver is a warning sign that your liver isn't functioning as well as it should. Imagine your liver as a hardworking filter in your body that helps process everything you eat and drink.
Sometimes, due to factors like a poor diet, being overweight, or drinking too much alcohol, the liver starts to store more fat than it can handle. This extra fat makes the liver larger and heavier, causing a condition called fatty liver.

This buildup disrupts the liver's normal function and can lead to inflammation and potential liver damage. There are two main types of fatty liver: alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Symptoms of fatty liver may not be obvious in the early stages, but as the condition progresses, individuals may experience:
1. Fatigue: Feeling constantly tired or lacking energy.
2. Abdominal discomfort: Experiencing pain or heaviness in the upper right abdomen.
3. Jaundice: Yellowing of the skin and eyes due to impaired liver function.
4. Enlarged liver: The liver may become swollen, causing a sensation of fullness in the abdomen.
5. Elevated liver enzymes: Detected through blood tests, indicating liver inflammation or damage.
