Fatty liver is a warning sign that your liver isn't functioning as well as it should. Imagine your liver as a hardworking filter in your body that helps process everything you eat and drink.

Sometimes, due to factors like a poor diet, being overweight, or drinking too much alcohol, the liver starts to store more fat than it can handle. This extra fat makes the liver larger and heavier, causing a condition called fatty liver.

This buildup disrupts the liver's normal function and can lead to inflammation and potential liver damage. There are two main types of fatty liver: alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).

Symptoms of fatty liver may not be obvious in the early stages, but as the condition progresses, individuals may experience:

1. Fatigue: Feeling constantly tired or lacking energy.
2. Abdominal discomfort: Experiencing pain or heaviness in the upper right abdomen.
3. Jaundice: Yellowing of the skin and eyes due to impaired liver function.
4. Enlarged liver: The liver may become swollen, causing a sensation of fullness in the abdomen.
5. Elevated liver enzymes: Detected through blood tests, indicating liver inflammation or damage.

Many issues of Hepatitis, Fatty Liver, Jaundice and their types are caused by Liver Diseases that degenerate and affect the whole system.

Hepatitis progresses through a cyclic pattern from a normal liver to a damaged one. Initial infection triggers inflammation, leading to hepatic cell injury and compromised liver function. As the virus replicates, chronic inflammation ensues, causing fibrosis and scarring. If left untreated, this cycle can culminate in severe liver damage and cirrhosis.

Proper hygeine can prevent liver damage in the body. To stay healthy, you must practice the following:

- Practice proper handwashing before eating and after using the restroom to prevent the transmission of harmful viruses and bacteria that could lead to liver infections.

- Avoid sharing personal items like razors or toothbrushes to reduce the risk of spreading hepatitis or other infections.

- Get vaccinated against hepatitis A and B to protect yourself from these viral infections that can cause liver damage.

- Maintain a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains while limiting alcohol intake to support liver health.

Stay Healthy!
