πππAs our muslim brothers and sisters prepare for the holy month of RAMADANππ, let us look at the benefits of FASTING π€.
βπFasting or intermittent fasting is a challenge to your brain, cutting down on your energy intake by fasting several days/ week might help your brain ward off neurodegenerative disease like Dementia, Alzheimer's etc.
βπA new study from Harvard researchers has now shown how fasting can increase lifespan, slowing aging and improve overall HEALTH by altering the activity of mitochondrial network inside our cells. Most importantly the study illustrates how fasting manipulate those mitochondrial network to put them in YOUTHFUL STATE π
βπIt is encouraged that you should not go into fasting suddenly, start with one or two days in a week and then you can advance, from the Islamic view Monday and Thursday is recommended for fasting so as not to go into Ramadan fasting suddenly, so your body should be prepared for it. Most times fasting comes with headache and light-headedness but with time your mood should pick up π.
βπFasting doesn't mean restricting your self from your nutrients INTAKE, it's just a reduction in your calorie intake per day, and if well plan, you can be eating about 800kcal or more during fasting and eating your BALANCED diet.ππ₯π½ππΆοΈπ
