Dating in your 20s can feel like an adventure.
It’s a season of discovery about yourself, your values, and the kind of love you truly want.

Here are some tips to help you navigate this chapter💛

In many African families, there’s an unspoken rule: once you start earning, you’re expected to provide.

In Nigeria, it often shows up as those familiar “Urgent 2K” requests from family. While sometimes lighthearted, these constant demands can add up and take a real emotional and financial toll.

Black Tax is rooted in cultural duty but when it turns into pressure or entitlement, it can leave you feeling overwhelmed and guilty.

It’s not always about saying “no” to your family, but about giving from a place that doesn’t drain you.

Su***de Prevention Day reminds us that silence can be deadly.

In Nigeria, mental health conversations are still new, and too often people hear “you’ll be fine” instead of “let’s talk about it.”

Changing the narrative means opening up, listening without judgment, and noticing when our loved ones are struggling.

Your check-in, your compassion, your safe space could save a life.💛

Therapy for teens is about helping them find language for what they feel, tools for what they’re going through, and confidence in who they’re becoming.

We know it’s not always easy to reach out for support.

As a parent, it can bring up feelings of doubt, “Did I fail them?”,
“Shouldn’t I be able to handle this?”

But choosing therapy for your teen doesn’t mean you’ve done something wrong. It means you’re showing up for them in one of the most powerful ways possible and by making their emotional wellbeing a priority.

We asked your fave therapist to share something they’ve been watching and enjoying recently and their picks might surprise you. 👀

Share in the comments something you’ve recently enjoyed watching or are currently loving.

Therapy works best when you come in with intention. These questions will help you reflect before your session, so you can feel a little more prepared, grounded, and honest with yourself.

Even if you don’t have all the answers, asking the questions is a powerful first step. 💛

Victim blaming happens when we shift responsibility from the person who caused harm to the person who experienced it. It might sound like, “Why didn’t you speak up sooner?” or “You should’ve known better.” These comments, even when unintentional, can deepen someone’s pain and discourage them from seeking help.

Responding with empathy matters. Instead of questioning or judging, we can choose to listen, support, and stand with those who’ve been hurt. It’s how we create safer spaces, where people feel seen, believed, and never blamed for their pain

Sometimes people-pleasing doesn’t look like bending over backward for others. It looks like a quiet “yes” when you’re tired. Carrying feelings that aren’t yours. Feeling a knot in your stomach when you try to set a boundary.

It’s not that you want to ignore your own needs. You’ve just learned it felt safer to do so.

You don’t have to please to belong. Your needs matter too.💛
