The reason you die is because your beliefs have killed you long before you death ☠️.
Nigeria, like other African countries, have many dangerous superstitious beliefs that are killing unimaginable number of people and these has become a new normal.
These false beliefs do not happen spontaneously. They arise from mere believing that witches exist, over reliance on spirituality for protection against everything bad and other obnoxious superstitious beliefs.
Our people are not committed to investigating the real causes of death of their loved or their sickness, instead, they find seers who pose as "all knowing humans" who have all answers to everything.
They will not go to the hospital to check themselves until they are down with serious diseases that most of the time it is too late to help medically resulting in lost of their lives.
There are many superstitious beliefs that are killing many people. Some of them and the dangerous contradiction to what is supposed to be done to save such patients are as follows:
1.IT IS NOT TRUE THAT Strokes patients must not go to the hospital and get injected for doing that result in inability to be cured by traditional healers.
CONTRADICTION: Stroke (acute stroke) is a medical emergency and the earlier the patient presents to the hospital (a good hospital with the required expertise and equipment) the better the chances of getting a cure.
Strokes don't just happened. There are risk factors that precede them such as uncontrolled hypertension, poorly controlled diabetes (diabetes mellitus), abnormal fats in the body(hyperlipidemia), previous stroke and so on.
Some strokes are as a result of ruptured blood pipes (blood vessels) in the brain due to persistent high blood pressure.
This is what is called hemorrhagic stroke.
When this occurs, it results to bleeding in the brain.
This bleeding may continue and the patient will die of shortage of blood (anemia) or the blood may become solidify (clot) and compress the brain substance which may lead to death or loss of function of the part of the body that the compressed part of the brain controls.
SHORT FALLS IN OUR HOSPITALS:
Due to poor emergency services in Nigerian hospitals, it is almost impossible to prevent death when this type of stroke happens, because the definitive care in this case that will guarantee stopping the bleeding and preventing the complications of the clotted blood is neurosurgical operation.
Only few hospitals have neurosurgeons in our country, therefore, it is difficult to halt the deterioration of hemorrhagic stroke but other interventions are carried out and few patients get lucky to survive hemorrhagic stroke without surgery.
Another type of Stroke may be due to blockage of a blood vessel in the brain by a blood clot that dislodges and blocks a narrower portion of the blood vessel in the brain cutting off blood from reaching the parts of the brain beyond the site of blockade resulting in death of the brain cells of the portion in which blood flow cannot reach.
This is ischemic stroke. This type of stroke can be reversed fully with early intervention within at most 4 hours 30 minutes.
It means immediately the patient is suspected to have a stroke attack, he or she should be taken to the hospital immediately.
Delay may result in death or permanent damage to the part of the brain affected giving rise to disabilities such as slured speech, paralysis of the limbs( hands and legs) and other parts of the body.
WHAT IS EXPECTED: Patients suspected to have stroke should be rushed to the hospital without delay as time is life here.
2. IT IS NOT TRUE THAT Some forms of HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, Kidney diseases, liver disease, heart disease, bad non healing wounds on the legs and so on are caused by witchcraft (aka village people) hence there cure can only be gotten traditionally. Many gullible people have fallen for this lie and have misinformed others who have paid with their lives.
WHAT IS EXPECTED:
Once someone is tested positive for HIV, please they should commence treatment without delay for that will lead to significant suppression of viral load and the person will lead almost a normal life if compliant with medications.
HIV is not curable as at now but it can be treated effectively and the patient will be able to achieve all his/her life goals. All that is required here is compliance with medications.
Hepatitis B is not curable as at now but it can be treated effectively and the sufferer will not be killed by it. Patients usually runaway from the hospital and are deceived that hepatitis B can be cured herbally but the truth is that the disease persists, worsen and complications of the disease eventually kills such patients.
If it is not properly treated, it will lead to liver failure and death ☠️.
Hepatitis C is curable but it requires early diagnosis and proper treatment.
WHAT IS EXPECTED: Get tested for both Hepatitis B and C and pursue correct treatment by experts if you value your lives.
If the tests are negative, take a hepatitis B vaccine but hepatitis C has no vaccine.(Read about the dilemma of Hepatitis B and C in one of my previous posts).
Some tests and treatment are expensive but remember it is about your life.
The actual causes of swollen body especially feet, abdomen, face and hands are kidney, heart, liver diseases.
Please, go to a good hospital 🏥 and get urgent treatment Sirs and Mas. It is a danger to your life my people.
Manage your diabetes and hypertension properly in a good hospital and leave the witches and evil spirits alone.
3. IT IS NOT TRUE THAT p***ses can disappear or stolen magically.
Ritualist can physically cut off someone's body parts for rituals and p***s is not an exception.
This fake alarm is caused by two things.
Medically, there is a psychiatrist condition called Koro-like syndrome in which case sufferers feel convinced that their external ge***al organ has disappeared due to an inherent excessive shrinkage of the p***s.
Once they feel like that and they find anyone around, the innocent person is presumed to have stolen his p***s.
Another cause of this propaganda is hoodlums arrange and accuse their target to have stolen the p***s of one of them in order to gain support from gullible people and rub their victims of their belongings.
Many people have lost their lives and others left with varying degrees of disabilities such as amputated p***s and more.
WHAT IS EXPECTED: Stop believing falsehood and always insist that both the victim and the allege pe**le thief be taken to the real hospital not the police because some Police and other security agencies are also ignorant of the truth.
