đź”´ Hepatitis C (HCV)
A silent infection, but the good news is: It can be cured!

🧬 What Happens If Untreated?
Can lead to liver damage, cirrhosis, and even cancer

But now, there's a cure for almost everyone

đź’Š Cure with Direct-Acting Antivirals (DAAs)
Pills only, taken for 8–12 weeks

Very few side effects

More than 95% of patients are cured

👩‍⚕️ Who Should Get Treated?
Everyone with Hepatitis C—regardless of how long they’ve had it

Including those with HIV, kidney problems, or liver cirrhosis

🦠 Do You Know? Living with Hepatitis B doesn't mean you're fully protected from other hepatitis viruses!

Even if you already have Hepatitis B, you can still get infected with Hepatitis D (HDV) — a serious co-infection that can make your liver disease worse and more difficult to treat.

👉 Hepatitis D only occurs in people who already have Hepatitis B, and the combination can lead to faster liver damage, including cirrhosis and liver cancer.

🔒 That’s why protecting yourself remains essential, even after a Hepatitis B diagnosis:

Practice safe s*x (use condoms)

Avoid sharing needles or other sharp objects

Don’t share personal items like razors or toothbrushes

Get regular check-ups and monitor your liver health

💡 Knowledge is power—let's spread awareness, stop the stigma, and encourage safe habits. Your health still matters, and prevention is always better than cure!

Did you know?
Hepatitis B virus (HBV) can survive outside the body for up to 7 days and still infect, while HIV becomes inactive within hours!

This is why HBV is much more contagious and can spread from even tiny amounts of dried blood on surfaces or tools. 🧪⚠️

➡️ Always practice safety: Use gloves, sterilize equipment, and avoid sharing sharp objects.

🌸 Ladies, Your Health Matters! 🌸
Did you know that Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) can be silently damaging your reproductive health?

PID is often caused by s*xually transmitted infections like *Gonorrhea* and *Chlamydia*, and many women don’t realize they have it until serious complications arise.

🛑 Know the Symptoms 🛑
If you notice any of these signs, don’t ignore them:

✅ Lower abdominal or pelvic pain – the most common symptom
✅ Unusual vaginal discharge – yellow/greenish, often with an unpleasant smell
âś… Pain during s*x (dyspareunia)
âś… Burning sensation when urinating
✅ Irregular bleeding – between periods or after s*x
âś… Fever and chills
âś… Nausea and vomiting
âś… Pain during pelvic exam (cervical motion tenderness)
âś… Tenderness around ovaries or fallopian tubes (adnexal tenderness)

🚨 Don’t wait for symptoms to worsen. Early treatment can prevent infertility, ectopic pregnancy, and chronic pain.

🔍 Get tested. Get treated. Protect your reproductive health.

📣 Share this to raise awareness. You could help save someone’s future!

🚨 Did You Know? 🚨
Chlamydia and Gonorrhea are two of the most common STI that causes Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (PID) — a serious infection of the female upper ge***al tract, including the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

If left untreated, PID can lead to:
âť— Infertility
âť— Ectopic pregnancy (a life-threatening condition)
âť— Chronic pelvic pain

The good news? PID is preventable and treatable — especially when s*xually transmitted infections (STIs) are diagnosed early.

👉 Get tested regularly if you're s*xually active.
👉 Use protection like condoms.
👉 Seek medical care promptly for any unusual symptoms.

Your reproductive health matters. Don’t ignore the signs.

🛑 Say NO to Herbal "Cures" for Hepatitis🛑

As a medical doctor, I’ve seen firsthand the harm caused by untested herbal remedies for viral hepatitis. Many patients delay proper treatment, only to return with severe liver damage, complications—or worse.

🔬 Hepatitis B and C are viral infections, and no herbal medicine has been scientifically proven to cure or control them. Relying on herbs often leads to:
❌ Progression to liver cirrhosis
❌ Liver cancer (Hepatocellular carcinoma)
❌ Death from liver failure

âś… What does work?

•Early screening

•Antiviral medications prescribed by qualified health professionals

•Regular monitoring and lifestyle advice

🗣 Please spread this message: "Herbs are not harmless." The liver is already under attack—don’t add to the damage with unverified treatments.

Let’s save lives through truth and science.
