Today let’s talk about surrogacy in Australia!!!!!
In Australia, all jurisdictions allow altruistic surrogacy; with commercial surrogacy being a criminal offense. In New South Wales, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory it is an offence to enter into international commercial surrogacy arrangements with potential penalties extending to imprisonment for up to one year in Australian Capital Territory, up to two years imprisonment in New South Wales and up to three years imprisonment in Queensland.

Let’s talk about surrogacy laws by country.
Each country has different laws and stance when it comes to surrogacy and other Assisted Reproduction Technology. Sometimes people are confused about these laws. Today let’s talk about surrogacy laws in Argentina.

Surrogacy in Argentina is not explicitly regulated by law. This lack of regulation creates uncertainty and complexity for intended parents and surrogates.

While some reports suggest that altruistic surrogacy may be permitted, there is no clear legal framework governing surrogacy arrangements.

Intended parents and surrogates are advised to exercise caution and seek professional guidance when navigating surrogacy in Argentina.

PART 2

Why do I need an AMH test?
You may need an AMH test if you are a woman who is having difficulty getting pregnant. The test can help show what your chances are of conceiving a baby. If you are already seeing a fertility specialist, your doctor may use the test to predict whether you will respond well to treatment, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).

High levels may mean you may have more eggs available and will respond better to treatment. Low levels of AMH mean you may have fewer eggs available and may not respond well to treatment.

You may also need an AMH test if you are a woman with symptoms of polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS). These include:

Menstrual disorders, including early menopause or amenorrhea,
Acne, Excess body and facial hair growth,
Decreased breast size,
Weight gain,
In addition, you may need an AMH test if you are being treated for ovarian cancer. The test can help show if your treatment is working.

What happens during an AMH test?

A health care professional will take a blood sample from a vein in your arm, using a small needle. After the needle is inserted, a small amount of blood will be collected into a test tube or vial. You may feel a little sting when the needle goes in or out. This usually takes less than five minutes.

Will I need to do anything to prepare for the test?

You don’t need any special preparations for an AMH test.

Are there any risks to the test?

There is very little risk to having a blood test. You may have slight pain or bruising at the spot where the needle was put in, but most symptoms go away quickly.

What is it used for?

1. An AMH test is often used to check a woman’s ability to produce eggs that can be fertilized for pregnancy. A woman’s ovaries can make thousands of eggs during her childbearing years. The number declines as a woman gets older. AMH levels help show how many potential egg cells a woman has left. This is known as the ovarian reserve.

If a woman’s ovarian reserve is high, she may have a better chance of getting pregnant. She may also be able to wait months or years before trying to get pregnant. If the ovarian reserve is low, it may mean a woman will have trouble getting pregnant, and should not delay very long before trying to have a baby.

2... AMH tests may also be used to predict the start of menopause, a time in a woman’s life when her menstrual periods have stopped and she can’t become pregnant anymore.
It usually starts when a woman is around 50 years old.
Help find out the reason for amenorrhea, the lack of menstruation. It is most often diagnosed in girls who haven’t started menstruating by the age of 15 and in women who have missed several periods.

3.Help diagnose polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS), a hormonal disorder that is a common cause of female infertility, the inability to get pregnant.

4..Check infants with ge****ls that are not clearly identified as male or female.

5..Monitor women who have certain types of ovarian cancer.

To be continued..
