I hope you have being reading and getting valuable information concerning INFECTION?

Don't forget Knowledge have being proved to be POWER.

Yesterday, I established that, the primary reason why our body becomes exposed to INFECTION is because OUR IMMUNE SYSTEM HAS BEING WEAKEN.

If you have not read it, I will advice you go and read it before reading this one........

Today, I want to share with you 14 Things That Weakens Your Immune System.

Because, I don't want the reading to be long, so I will be sharing with you 5 out of 14 and will continue tomorrow.

1. Lack of Sleep: Not getting enough sleep can make you more likely to catch viruses or germs.

And you also may take longer to get better.

That’s because your body can’t make as many infection-fighting cells and proteins called antibodies that help defend against illness.

Your body releases certain proteins that help the immune system, called cytokines, only during sleep.

2. Anxiety: Stress and worry aren’t great germ fighters.

Just having anxious thoughts can weaken your immune response in as little as 30 minutes.

Constant stress takes an even bigger toll and makes it harder to fend off the flu, herpes, shingles, and other viruses.

Talk to your doctor if you can’t shake your worry or if it gets in the way of normal life.

3. Low Vitamin D: You may know you need it for strong bones and healthy blood cells.

But vitamin D also helps boost your immune system.

You can get it in eggs, fatty fish, and fortified foods like milk and cereal.

Sunlight is another key source.

Just 5-15 minutes of rays on your hands, face, and arms 2-3 times a week usually is enough.

You might need a bit more in rainy season.

4. Certain Medications: They include drugs to treat allergies, arthritis, lupus, IBS, and organ transplant.

Heartburn and acid reflux

Heartburn is a burning feeling in the chest caused by stomach acid travelling up towards the throat (acid reflux). If it keeps happening, it's called gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD).

Check if you have acid reflux

The main symptoms of acid reflux are:

heartburn – a burning sensation in the middle of your chest

an unpleasant sour taste in your mouth, caused by stomach acid

You may also have:

a cough or hiccups that keep coming back

a hoarse voice

bad breath

bloating and feeling sick

Your symptoms will probably be worse after eating, when lying down and when bending over.

To reduce acid reflux pain, you may want to limit:

coffee and other caffeinated beverages

carbonated beverages

chocolate

chilies and hot peppers

processed foods

foods with a high amount of salt

deep-fried foods

acidic foods like citrus and tomatoes

Overeating and eating within two to three hours of going to bed may also worsen the symptoms of acid reflux.

Not every food acts the same for every person, so keeping track of which foods seem to make acid reflux symptoms worse can be helpful.

Overview

Stomach ulcers (gastric ulcers) are open sores within the lining of the stomach. They are a type of peptic ulcer, meaning having to do with acid. Because of the amount of acid present in the stomach and the damage that can occur, they are often extremely painful.

Avoid these things right after a meal
✓ smoking one cigarette is equivalent to smoking 10 which increase ur chances of bowl and lung cancer
✓ going to bed right after any meal leads to bloating, discomfort and abnormal sleeping patterns
✓ taking tea or coffee after meal is bad as well, taking it at least an hour after d meal is advised
✓ taking a shower right after a meal leads to indigestion and digestive problems. Wait for 30mins
✓ eating fruits right after a meal can cause indigestion, flatulence or heartburn
✓ loosening the belt right after a meal is a sign that u av eaten more than necessary which is bad
✓ drinking cold water after a meal does not allow d food digest properly which causes bunching of food and increases the chance of constipation
✓ hitting the gym right after a meal isn't good as well, the stomach needs some minutes to digest d food eaten
✓ brushing ur teeth immediately after a meal is wrong too, wait at least 30 mins😎
