THE SIMPLEST WAY TO KNOW YOUR OVULATION, SAFE & UNSAFE PERIOD
It's a popular thing that ladies keep track of the number of their exes, body count, heartbreaks, and the 16th food on the menu of a party they attended twelve years and three months ago.
But find it hard to know when they are ovulating - they only know it's about that time when they start feeling funny and swinging moods like a witch.
Like, if you think I'm kidding, then ask yourself this question - Why would I keep taking morning early pills when I didn't have any emergency seks (If there's anything like that) when I can easily track when it is safe/not safe to have s*x???
Okay.
Well,
All of that doesn't matter to me, as long as you stay alive. However, I am here to make things easy for you!
And the fact that we'll be going into one of the months in which inikwity is usually on a high rate, this writeup will keep you healthy.
I'll be explaining this in the most simple way you can ever imagine.
So if you do not understand this, I think you should rather stick to putting on your 'color riot outfits'
Now,
Let's get started.
1.
HOW TO KNOW YOU OVULATION PERIOD
I'll be using the month of February, and a 28days Menstrual cycle (My ex girlfriend's). So sit down and calculate your own by yourself.
Let's say, your menstrual period starts on the 1st of February, 2024
Ovulation typically occurs around 14 days before your next period starts.
Your ovulation day would be around February 15, 2024. (If this is typically your menstrual cycle, sorry, avoid inikwity during Valentine)
And yes, please note that ovulation can fluctuate, especially for individuals with irregular cycles.
There are other ways to know when you are ovulating. Like checking for other signs of fertility - such as changes in cervical mucus or body temperature.
But we are not here for that now.
It's that simple. 14 days after the first day of your me**es is your what?
Okay.
Now,
2.
HOW ABOUT YOUR UNSAFE PERIOD?
Let me make the facts straight.
It is unsafe if you are s*xually active but don't want to get pregnant, while it is the best time for couples who want their early Christmas gift - you know what I mean - to have seks.
Now that you know your ovulation day to be the 15th of February.
You are very much fertile, fertile a few days before and after the 15th.
To be precise, 3 days before and after. The interesting thing is the fact that you crave more for s*x at times like this.
12, 13, 14. 16, 17, 18. These are your unsafe periods. You are very fertile during this period. Having seks on Valentine's day for example is a good way to get pregnant. Unless your guy uses 'Bako sac' as cond0m but you see 'Pull out game"? You are playing.
Sorry for digressing a bit. But I think that was necessary, wasn't it?
3.
DO I STILL NEED TO TELL YOU BEFORE YOU KNOW YOUR SAFE PERIODS?
Offcourse!
I started already.
I can't stop now. Even though a few of you must have figured that out.
But I'll just complete what I started.
Your safe days are when your chances of getting pregnant are 'significantly' lower. Like, very low!
To calculate your safe days, subtract 18 days from the length of your shortest cycle and subtract 11 days from the length of your longest cycle during the past 6-12 months.
I can bet on my left eye that you've never been this confused this year.
I know, right?
The fact is that you will remain confused until you start keeping track of your menstrual cycles.
It's a new year, get a small 'One year's calendar. Without that, my dear, I can guarantee you that your safe periods are not even safe.
So for example, if your shortest cycle was 28days (Just as the instances I've been giving since you started reading this) and the longest you ever had was 35days (the longest anybody could have), your safe days would typically be from February 27, 2024, to March 02, 2024.
Let me point some things out if it makes things simpler then so be it.
You are safe during your menstrual period. That's about 5 days.
So it is safe to say you are safe 10 days before your ovulation period (Read 'how to calculate ovulation period again).
Your safe periods would be from the first day of your period to 10 days after your shortest cycle, and from 12 days after your longest cycle to the start of your next period.
If as a lady you hat.e mathematics, please don't act up. Just give up. Thank you.
. .
The thing is, just let it rest at the back of your skull that these calculations are approximate, and there's something called 'Individual Differences' and Hormonal changes. All of these can affect ovulation timing.
To be more precise, there are tech kits now - though not common.
Or perhaps, we have predictors going around as prophets. You can meet them, they might predict it quite well for you. But please do not come back to me.
I have said my own.
