HOW CAN WE LET GO WHEN WE ARE HEARTBROKEN?
A broken heart often holds on to the person or relationship because it is unable to accept that someone it trusted and loved so deeply could hurt it.
We are often deeply hurt in those relationships that are closest to us. Whether it is a betrayal, unfulfilled commitment or unruly behaviour, what is harder than being hurt is to let go of the connection. We get constantly reminded of the memories we hold with them, the time we spent and the moments we shared, adding more pain to our already broken hearts.
To let go, forgive the person and remove any negative thoughts from your mind. Accept what has happened and trust that even though you may feel hurt, everything will eventually turn out to be good. Pray and meditate; it will calm your mind and help you heal and move on.
