THE SILENT AND DANGEROUS CONSEQUENCES OF THE CONTRACEPTIVE IMPLANT YOU ABSOLUTELY NEED TO KNOW
✅️Contractive method: what is it?
A contraceptive method is a means used by women or men to avoid an unwanted pregnancy. There are several types: hormones (pill, implant, injection), mechanical (condom, IUD), or natural. They act in different ways: by blocking ovulation, by preventing fertilization or by modifying the mucosa of the uterus to make the impression impossible.
✅️What is the contraceptive implant?
The implant is a small flexible stem, the size of a match, which is inserted under the skin of the arm, usually in the internal side of the non -dominant arm. It contains a hormone called progestin, which is released slowly in the body for a period of three years. This hormone prevents ovulation, thickens the cervical mucus and modifies the uterine mucosa, thus making pregnancy almost impossible for its duration of action.
✅️What are the possible consequences of the contraceptive implant?
Like any hormonal means, the implant can lead to side effects in some women. These effects vary from person to person. Here are the most frequent consequences observed:
✔️1. menstrual disorders
The implant can cause irregular, absent (amenorrhea), or longer and abundant rules.
This is due to the continuous liberation of progestin (hormone) which disturbs the natural cycle. Some women no longer have rules, while others bleed unpredictably.
✔️2. Weight gain
Some women note an increase in weight after installing the implant.
This is explained by a side effect of progestin, which can change appetite or cause water retention. However, this does not concern all women.
✔️3. Acne or skin problems
The implant can worsen acne in some women.
It is a hormonal effect: progesterone can stimulate sebum production, thus promoting pimples.
✔️4. Pain within
Sometimes the breasts become sensitive, tense or painful.
This results from a hormonal imbalance caused by the implant, similar to that felt before the rules.
✔️5. Headache
Some users may suffer from frequent or persistent headache.
It is a body response to hormonal changes induced by the progestogen.
✔️6. Mood changes, depression, irritability
The implant can cause mood disorders, even depressed states.
Hormones influence the central nervous system and can disrupt emotional balance in some women.
✔️7. Decrease in libido
A decrease in sexual desire is sometimes reported.
Progestive hormones can reduce natural estrogen production, which impacts libido.
✔️8. Ovarian cysts
Although benign in the majority of cases, cysts may appear on the ovaries.
They are caused by a hormonal imbalance, but often disappear spontaneously without treatment.
✔️9. Infections or pain in the insertion site
Rarely, there may be infection, pain, hematoma or migration of the implant under the skin.
This happens especially if the installation is not well done or if the body reacts badly to the foreign body.
✔️10. Difficulty finding immediate fertility after withdrawal
Even if the fertility returns quickly for the most part, in some, there may be a delay of several months before returning to a normal cycle.
It is not a sterility, but a hormonal rehabilitation of the organism.
