BEFORE I GOT MARRIED, I USE D***O TO REACH OR**SM BUT NOW HUBBY DOES SOMETIME:

Dear sir, I have an issue which I would like you to advice me.

I have been married for 3 years. We are going pretty smooth though initially it wasn't so. We never had major fights.
Now coming to intimacy, we do have s*x at atimes once a week( sometimes I wish it was more) but then my husband comes home tired on most days.
The main issue is, I have never reached or**smed once in this 3 years. Being a doctor, I know that va**nal or***ms are not experienced by all women.

Before marriage, I used to self-or**sm myself using d***o into myself. And I or**sm every time.
My husband has all the genuine interest to give me an organism. He used his fingers sometimes and it doesnt work out much.

The thing is, I enjoy oral s*x concept. I do like my husband to give me the same.
Initially we had an argument on this since my husband was avoiding it. And in his out burst my husband hurt me, by saying my va**na smells. It hurt me so much emotionally that I stopped asking him later. I have sometimes noticed a strong sweat smell at the end of the day. I don't have any infection. I am sure. It could probably be my sweat.

Now my concerns are :
1. If I wash myself or take a bath, the smell goes off, but returns within an hour or two. Any other tips on tackling this

2. Since I couldn't or**sm with my husband, I resorted to my d***o. And I have become dependent on them. So, to break that habit, I asked my hubby to try oral in a subtle way. He says yes but on the bed he conveniently forgets and I'm not strong enough to bring the topic while we are having s*x.

How do I gently bring this
3. I m really frustrated and slowly lost all interest in s*x, and when he initiates, I jus want to get it over with soon.

Dear Madam, I'm happy you are a doctor, and infection is already ruled out of this. However, I would say it all boils down to basics.
Every woman has va**na odour but when the odour becomes unpleasant, then this needs to be checked.
I will list out some possible causes/tips on how to maintain ones personal va**na odour
Food: What you eat can affect, effect or change the odour or environment around the va**na which can result to offensive, unpleasant and pungent smell. E.g spices (garlic, onions, cinnamon, curry e.t.c), yourghut (flavored yoghurt, fruity yoghurt, fermented, e.t.c).

Eliminating or reducing them will be of help to you, if you consume them.

Pants: The material from which they are made is essential. Pants made from Silk, Nylon, Polyester, Nets etc aren't advisable as they aren't breathable. Your va**na needs to breath, they need air(fresh air). Because women sweat down there you want something that will absorb and at the same time.

breathable. Hence, why cotton is the best material for any lingerie (pants). But please wear clean fresh pants every day.

Furthermore, you need to separate your period pants from regular panties. Don't mix both of them together or wash them together nor wear period panties when you aren't having your period and as vice versa.

Also, most ladies wear pants to bed at night; this is so so wrong. The va**na needs to relax as well, get fresh air and breath.

Cleaning: Please, don't sit on hot water or sit bathe as some will say. Its of no good benefit, there are good functional bacteria in women va**na. The va**na itself goes through self cleaning every day and sit bathing might/will kill those bacteria and render them less functional/useless. Hence, why you get some offensive and unpleasant smell after going through sit bathing process.

However, clean with enough lukewarm water, no soaps(either non scented or scented). After which you dry with a clean towel.

Also, you can slightly open up your cl****is with your fingers gently to clean any remnant of urine or tissue paper.

Furthermore, when you go to the toilet. It is advisable you clean from front to back rather than from back to front as this may introduce a little p**p around the va**na which can be extremely unpleasant to smell.

S*x: Couple of minutes after s*x, try to urinate as this will help eliminate any form of unwanted bacteria. Also, clean up with either a baby wipe or lukewarm water if available because Semen and S***m can also produce a very pungent and unpleasant smell in the va**na if not cleaned well.

Also, how often do you wash your s*x toys
(d***o). This is also important.

Period: How often do you change your sanitary essentials (pad, tampons, cloth pads, menstural cups, e.t.)
Moreover, product are also not left out. Instead of making use of lotion in between your leg or on your pelvic area leading to the va**na, make use of anti-fungi or antibacterial cream e.g Canesten, funbactA e.t.c

Note: You need to take care of yourself first and boost your self-esteem. Only then will your husband be able to please you and you enjoying your s*x life as well.

Also, drinking lots of water is essential as this will help dissolve toxins and eliminate/dilute your body content thereby resulting to lighter, fresher you as time goes on.

Hoping you will find some of those tips helpful. You also get out product to eliminate the va**nal smell once and for all. Good luck.

Sincerely Alozie
