HOW TO PREVENT MATERNAL AND FETAL DEATH

Delivery is a natural process that one shouldn't force but follow the due process professionally to prevent complications.

7 Big Mistakes Women Make During Labour (That Can Put Baby at R!sk)

Labour is not the time to be stubborn, scared, or distracted.
Many women unknowingly make these mistakes — and it can cost lives.

Please read carefully;

1️⃣ Refusing vaginal examination
Mama, how will they know if you’re fully dilated or if your baby’s head is coming down? It’s not punishment — it’s to help you deliver safely.

2️⃣ Pushing too early
If you start pushing when your cervix is not yet open ( fully dilated ), it can cause swelling, tears, or get too tired before it’s time.

3️⃣ Screaming instead of breathing
Yes, labour pain is crazy. But shouting wastes your energy, or makes you get tired easily. Learn to breathe deeply — it helps more than you think!

4️⃣ Refusing C-section when it’s the only safe option.
You’re not a failure if you have CS (caesarean section), it's also a form of delivery. What matters is that you and baby are alive and well.

5️⃣ Delaying going to the hospital after water breaks.
That baby is at risk of infection! Once your water breaks, don’t wait for “contractions to start.” Go to the hospital immediately.

6️⃣ Taking herbs or concoctions to “speed up” labour
Those things can cause distress for the baby or make your uterus rupture. Labour is not something to rush forcefully.

7️⃣ Choosing to deliver in an unskilled or poorly equipped place
Labour can turn risky in seconds. Always deliver where emergency help is available — even if it costs more. Your life is priceless.

Labour is not a test of how strong you are. It’s a journey of wisdom, patience, and safety.

One of the keys of a successful delivery is a good and adequate antenatal care service.
So please every pregnant woman should register antenatal care and as well attend.

Safe delivery to all pregnant mothers

One of the ways I inject children is by distracting them through playing and singing, then they won't get to know what I want to do.
