🩺 A SEMINAR ON UNDERSTANDING THE MYTHS TOILET INFECTION.
Hey girl,
Let’s have this honest talk from me to you.
Your body as a woman is beautiful, but also very open and sensitive, especially “down there.”
That area can easily get infected if you don’t take care of it well and sadly, many girls don’t even know what to do or look out for. Ok, let me ask you this question, what is toilet infection because there's no medical terms like toilet infections, this is just a myth people came up with.
Well, don't panic, I'm here to clear the air and make it sustainable for us all😊😊
❓What People Call “Toilet Infection”
Most times, it’s not really from toilets.
Those symptoms like: Itching, discharge (white, yellow, or smelly), burning when you p*e, feeling uncomfortable “inside”. You see all these signs listed here are all symptoms of infections.
And they are mostly caused by yeast infections, bacterial imbalance, or UTIs.
So no, it’s not always from a dirty toilet, and definitely not a reason to shame any girl.
🦠 What Causes Infections in Girls?
There are several ways in which one can be infected:
1.Wearing tight or damp underwear. Always wear cotton underwear that is free so your va**na can get some air.
2. Not wiping properly (You should always wipe from front to back). When i say wipe, you should know that as a girl, you are meant to clean yourself up after urinating, so please 🥺 don't always wipe from back to front❌ Wipe from front to back ✅.
3.Using harsh soaps, Dettol, or alum inside the va**na. This is very wrong, clean water is ok for washing your va**na. For those that boil that va**na with hot water in the name of chasing infection 😂 don't worry on a good day I will tell you that your va**na is not kpomo, so biko aunty take it easy.
4. Reusing dirty underwear or pads
5. Unprotected s*x... I know you trust your partner but please, use protection.
5. Not staying dry after sweating or bathing.
6. Weak immune system (yes, it matters!) very very important 📌
🛡️ How Can You Prevent It?
Simple steps that protect your womanhood:
✅ Wear cotton underwear and change daily
✅ After p*eing or pooing, wipe front to back
✅ Wash with just clean water or mild soap, no need for Dettol or perfume
✅ Don’t wear tight trousers or wet panties all day
✅ Don’t sit directly on very dirty public toilets use tissue as cover
✅ Drink enough water and eat fruits to help your body fight infections
✅ Avoid self-medication go for proper testing and treatment if you notice anything strange.
🧬 Know Your Immune System: An important thing to always consider.
Your immune system is like your body’s army. If it’s weak, infections come easily.
So don’t overwork yourself. Sleep well. Eat well. Stay clean.
Even stress and not eating well can lead to infections. If you feel your immune system is low, consult a medical personnel for treatment. Immune systems is a machine that helps your body to function well, it saves you not just from infection but from other sicknesses.
🩺 How Often Should a Girl Get Tested?
I have seen cases of girls that have never gone for a medical lab test at all. And this set of people are still s*xually active. Aunty you are not helping yourself, eeh nurse, i don't feel anything at all, no discharge bla bla bla... Madam there are infections that can be in your body for years without any symptoms. Should I tell you what it will result in? Infertility, kidney problems etc...
You don’t have to wait till something starts itching before you check yourself.
🔹 At least 2 to 3 times a year, go for a test even if you feel fine.
Your body won’t always show signs immediately, but infections can still be hiding.
