NAPHS Health Awareness Club emerged the NAPHS club of the year. The club under the administration of Miss Ganiyu Adenike Zainab ( the director NHAC) Uniosun Chapter got an award on the 26th of May 2023.

Congratulations to the members executives and other strong support system of the Great NHAC.

Trust we shall continue to mitigate ignorance through Health Awareness.

APRIL 19 SPEAKS ABOUT WORLD LIVER DAY.

FACT ABOUT THE LIVER:
📌The liver is a vital organ of the human body and the second largest organ in the body.

📌Liver is the only organ that can regenerate or can completely regrow.

📌The liver detoxifies and purifies the blood stream.

📌Liver aids metabolism (I.e control blood sugar level)

📌If the liver stop functioning then a person will die.

TIPS FOR A HEALTHY LIVER
✅ Avoid the use of illicit drugs
✅ Maintain a healthy weight
✅Eat a balanced diet(avoid excess fat)
✅Avoid excessive intake of alcohol
✅Practice safe s*x
✅Get vaccinated (there are vaccines for Hepatitis A and B
✅Avoid the use of contaminated needles

Implementation of school outreach project at St Andrew's Primary School Osogbo.Personal hygiene was the topic discussed among the students.

The students was enlightened on the prevention of Diseases associated with unhealthy hygienic practices.Practical demonstration of proper hand washing Practices was discussed among the students.
The outreach was a Success.

Today Fri March 24th 2023,we commemorate the World 🌎 Tuberculosis day with the theme Yes! We can end TB!', aims to inspire hope and encourage high-level leadership, increased investments, faster uptake of new WHO recommendations, adoption of innovations, accelerated action, and multisectoral collaboration to combat the TB epidemic.
It is Important we give this a Massive Publicity in order to achieve Zero TB.
The BCG vaccination
The BCG (Bacille Calmette-Guérin) is a live vaccine against tuberculosis. The BCG is currently the only licensed vaccine against TB, and has been in use since 1921.
TB can be treated using Directly Observed Therapy (DOTS) with first line drugs;isoniazid, rifampicin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol and streptomycin.
NOTE: PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE.

World Kidney Day is a worldwide health awareness campaign that is observed every year on the second Thursday of March. It is a joint effort by the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations - World Kidney Alliance (IFKF-WKA). The day has been observed every year since 2006 and is significant as it provides for the advocacy of good kidney health for all.

Happy International Women's Day to all Amazing,Beautiful, Strong, Brilliant, Inspiring, Women out there.The theme for this year International Women's Day is "EmbraceEquity".The NAPHS Health Awareness Club, uniosun chapter partnered with VARCE/UNICEF Nigeria in commemoration of the International Women's Day.DigitALL: Innovation and technology for Gender Equality was the Topic of the day.Female Ge***al Mutilation (FGM) as a violation of Girl child Right was discussed. It was a Great Privilege to partner with professionals to Impact 30 Secondary School students from both Baptist Girls High School and Unity School Osogbo. FGM Gender Gap in Innovation and technology needs to be closed #
