2026: APC's RETURN TO POWER IN OSUN WILL REJUVENATE GOVERNANCE - BUKOLA OYEWO

A former member of the National Assembly, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will rejuvenate governance in Osun State upon its return to power in 2026. Hon. Oyewo emphasized that the APC's victory will provide an opportunity for the domestication of President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, thereby fast-tracking the development of the state.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Hon. Oyewo stressed the importance of Osun State aligning with the transformation template of the Federal Government. He noted that the support of the electorate in the 2026 gubernatorial election is crucial for the APC to revamp and ensure real development of the state.

"We believe that the APC is the party best positioned to take Osun State to the next level of development. Our party has a proven track record of governance and is committed to presenting a candidate who will meet the yearnings of the masses in 2026," Hon. Oyewo said.

He appealed to stakeholders to support the APC in its bid to retake power in Osun State, assuring that the party is ready to present a candidate who will drive meaningful development and progress in the state.

"We urge all stakeholders to join hands with us to ensure that Osun State aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu. Together, we can achieve great things and take Osun State to new heights," Hon. Oyewo added.

Stakeholders To Hold Valedictory Reception For Former Federal Lawmaker Representing Osogbo

As part of several activities lined up for the valedictory programme of the immediate past lawmaker representing Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, the Ifon-Orolu Progressive Union (IPU) will as a prelude hold a press conference and reception on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

In order to have a robust and remarkable ceremony, the leadership of the socio-cultural group, has invited government officials, political leaders and members of the public to grace the occasion scheduled to take place at the Ifon-Osun Town Hall, Obada area, Ifon-Osun.

The valedictory session is meant to celebrate the remarkable strides of Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, who represented Osogbo Federal Constituency in the 9th House of Representatives.

Hon. Oyewo's legislative agenda was built on a tripod with focus on infrastructure development, education and economic growth, which were designed to achieve a revitalized and reinvigorated constituency.

The APC chieftain's people-centered framework has brought about meaningful and impactful grassroots development. Despite the short duration, he successfully touched all local government areas of the constituency he represented with choice projects.

During his four years in office, infrastructure received the desired attention, especially roads, water supply, classroom blocks, public sanitary facilities, drainage channels, flood/erosion control systems and healthcare .

The grassroots politician made giant strides in providing good road networks to towns and rural areas, especially farming communities in his constituency. Several kilometers of roads have been constructed to link many neighborhoods in the hinterlands. Residents of some villages and towns that never dreamt of having asphalted roads can now smile.

Oyewo Congratulates Akpabio, Abbas On Emergence As Presiding Officers Of 10th National Assembly

Immediate past lawmaker representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Bukola Oyewo, has congratulated Sen. Godswill Akpabio on his emergence as the President of the 10th Senate.

In a statement he personally signed and issued on Tuesday, Oyewo also congratulated Jibrin Barau, who is the new Deputy Senate President.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart also extended his congratulations to the newly elected Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and his deputy, Benjamin Okezie Kalu.

“Congratulations to Senate President Godswill Akpabio; Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas; Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau; and Deputy Speaker, Okezie Kalu as they begin their journey as presiding officers of the 10th National Assembly.

“As you set forth on your legislative endeavours in the new dispensation, I pray that God grants you wisdom and knowledge to meet the yearnings of the majority of Nigerians.

“I wish you all, Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members, utmost success as you work to serve our nation and its great people,” the statement quoted the former Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Water Resources as saying.

The struggle of June 12, 1993, delivered a pan-Nigerian mandate for the revival of harmony, hope, unity, and attainment of the country’s great potential.

It was a day our great and visionary leaders chose to sacrifice their resources, comfort, and even their lives for democracy to thrive in our dear nation. May God bless our leaders, both living and dead.

Exactly 30 years after the annulment of the June 12, 1993 election, the hope of the Nigerian masses has now been divinely revived, resuscitated, resurrected and renewed through the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a man who was at the forefront of the struggle.

Despite all odds, the mandate of RENEWED HOPE was birthed by the majority of Nigerian voters.

Group Lauds Outgoing Lawmaker Representing Osogbo Federal Constituency Over Performance

A socio-political group based in Southwest Nigeria, Teni N' Teni, has lauded the contributions and achievements of the outgoing legislator representing Osogbo Federal Constituency to the development of his domain in the last four years.

Coordinator of the organization, Taiwo Bakare, stated this yesterday in a message to appreciate Hon. Olubukola Oyewo's sterling performance and productive tenure as federal lawmaker for Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun and Orolu.

Bakare further noted that the All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain served his people meritoriously through the delivery of high-quality political representation.

According to him, Hon. Oyewo is responsible for the facilitation of numerous public infrastructure projects executed in Osogbo Federal Constituency in the last few years. Sectors including education, health, women and youth empowerment, environment and agriculture have also received required attention as a result of the lawmaker's intervention.

The group said :“ Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has done so well, and we thank him immensely for serving his constituents meritoriously.

There is no doubt that within four years in office, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo has been an active participant on the floor of the House of Representatives.

The lawmaker has been at the forefront of reviving dormant industries such as Oṣogbo Steel Rolling Mill, Nigeria Machine Tools and the Industrial Development Center situated at Oke Ayepe axis of Oṣogbo. He has initiated and moved several motions on the floor of the hallowed chamber in a bid to get the Federal Government to resuscitate long-abandoned production companies in his territory and beyond.

To end the hardship and stress faced by motorists and pedestrians plying major thoroughfares in his domain, Hon. Oyewo on the floor of the hallowed chamber called for the urgent rehabilitation of the long-abandoned Osogbo-llobu-lfon to Oyo boundary road.

In similar fashion, the ebullient and proactive parliamentarian sought the prompt intervention of the government in solving the incessant soil erosion and flooding problem bedeviling inhabitants of Oṣogbo, Orolu, Ifon, Irepodun and Olorunda.

The legislator has also harped on the need for periodic psychological assessment and evaluation of security officers in Nigeria who bear arms.

The Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Water Resources, has moved no fewer than six key motions and sponsored four crucial bills in less than four years.

APC Hausa Community In Osun Organizes Prayer Session For Oyetola’s Victory At Supreme Court

As the Supreme Court sitting in Abuja prepares to deliver its judgement on the outcome of the last governorship election held in Osun, the All Progressives Congress(APC) Hausa-Fulani community in the State, on Wednesday 3rd May, 2023 held a marathon prayer session to facilitate the victory of former governor Adegboyega Isiak Oyetola.

The group also initiated the procession to seek divine intervention in the affairs of the State.

The well attended Islamic prayer session took place at the Hausa Community Central Mosque, Obada area, Ifon-Osun.

Convener of the event and former Senior Special Assistant to the Osun State Governor on Non Indigenes Affairs, Hon. Umar Muhammed, revealed to journalists that the APC Hausa community in Osun are eager to see Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola get a favorable judgement at the apex court because of his remarkable performance during his first term in office.

According to Hon. Umar Muhammed, it was important for the group to intercede and pray for the triumph of the Osun APC guber candidate in a bid to ensure he reclaims his second term mandate and return the State towards the path of true progress. The facilitator of the religious gathering opined that prayer remains the most potent means to achieve success in any positive endeavor.

Umar added that the activity commenced in January 2023 and was concluded with the special devotional service.

On his part, the leader of the APC Hausa-Fulani community in Ife, Garba Muhammad said: “The spiritual gathering was initiated so as to seek God’s intervention in the ongoing legal tussle between the APC and the ruling PDP over the outcome of the 2022 Osun governorship poll.

“The immediate past administration led by Alhaji Oyetola had a very cordial relationship with non-indigenes of Osun.This approach to governance is responsible for the peaceful and harmonious relationship that existed between the Hausa community and indigenes of Osun, throughout the 4 years the former governor was in office," Garba posited.

The lawmaker for Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency was represented at the programme by the Director General of his campaign organization, Hon. Jamiu Adejumo.

Speaking on behalf of the federal legislator, Hon. Adejumo stated that the electorate cannot wait to welcome Oyetola back because of the failure of the current administration to match the achievements of the previous one. He lamented the worrisome state of security in the state, while expressing optimism that the former governor's return will bring back the peace and tranquility earlier experienced across the area.

“As a matter of fact, residents of Osogbo Federal Constituency are eager to welcome APC back, and this is why various groups in the area are praying fervently to God to give victory to Alhaji Isiaka Gboyega Oyetola at the Supreme Court.”

Adejumo urged Muslims and Christians in the state to use the next few days to supplicate and pray for APC's success at the apex court.

The prayer session, which was attended by politicians, religious leaders, community heads from across the state, was led by the Imam of Hausa-Fulani Community Central Mosque in Ifon, Mallam Umar Naibi, who recited verses from the Holy Qur’an.

May Day 2023: Rep Oyewo Felicitates With Workers In Osogbo Federal Constituency

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and legislator representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, has extended his well wishes and greetings to all workers on this year’s May Day celebration.

The federal parliamentarian, in a statement by his media and publicity team on Monday, described workers in Osogbo Federal Constituency and Nigeria in general as key drivers of development despite the challenges they face.

“No doubt, the Nigerian labor force remains one of the most dedicated, resilient and hardworking in the world. They remain a key driver of the country’s growth.

“On this auspicious occasion, I celebrate workers in my domain and across the country for staying positive and being partners in nation-building,” Hon. Oyewo noted.

The Deputy Chairman, House of Reps Committee on Water Resources further called on workers to continue to put in their best in any sector they find themselves, stating that their efforts shall never be in vain.
