Osun Guber Election: Bukoy Political Ensemble Launches Grassroots Campaign for APC Candidate

A political group, Bukoy Political Ensemble (BPE), has launched a grassroots campaign to mobilize voters in support of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the APC governorship candidate in Osun State.

The independent campaign body, initiated by former Osogbo Federal Constituency lawmaker, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, aims to achieve a landslide victory for the APC in the August 8th governorship election.

According to Oyewo, BPE members will engage in house-to-house and street-to-street campaign activities across Osogbo, Olorunda, Irepodun, and Orolu to drive support for Oyebamiji.

Oyewo praised Oyebamiji's leadership potential, citing his ability to align Osun with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda. "A victory for AMBO is a victory for Osun. He is the man to lead our state back to progressive governance," Oyewo said, expressing confidence in Oyebamiji's capacity to transform Osun State.

The group is optimistic that their campaign efforts will yield a decisive win for the APC.

The immediate past lawmaker for Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon Olubukola Oyewo has extended warm congratulations to Chief Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and elder statesman, who recently marked the milestone age of 91.

He lauded the Inisa-born Chief as a revered political icon, an accomplished professional, and an exceptionally astute politician of unimpeachable stature.

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday in Osogbo, Hon Olubukola Oyewo acknowledged Chief Oyedokun’s lifelong dedication to principled leadership and service to the nation by joining family, friends, and well-wishers in commemorating the birthday anniversary.

According to the former federal parliamentarian, Chief Oyedokun’s political acumen and commitment to democratic values have become invaluable assets to the APC in his home state of Osun and throughout the country.

He praised the celebrant’s humility and kindness, saying they have endeared him to many Nigerians.

He believes Oyedokun’s commitment to a greater Nigeria will always inspire current and future generations of leaders.

Ramadan 2026: Oyewo Seeks Prayers For Renewed Osun

As the holy fast of Ramadan begins, the immediate past lawmaker representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Bukola Oyewo has enjoined the Muslim faithful to use the period to pray for a renewed Osun State and a safer Nigeria.

He also advised them to use the exercise to practise care, love, compassion and engender understanding among people of various religious leanings.

Oyewo gave the counsel in a goodwill message issued by his media team on Wednesday.

OSUN APC ENDORSE TINUBU FOR SECOND TERM, WELCOMES PDP BIGWIGS WITH OYEWO IN ATTENDANCE

The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) hosted a landmark event on Saturday in Osogbo, welcoming prominent National Assembly members and grassroots leaders from the PDP into the party.

The grand reception, hailed as a game-changing moment in Osun politics, officially welcomed Senator Francis Fadahunsi (Osun East), Hon. Oluwole Oke (Ijesha North), Hon. Sanya Omirin (Ijesha South), Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi (Osun Central), and Hon. Taofeeq Ajilesoro (Ife), along with their throng of supporters from across the state.

The immediate past legislator for Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency, Hon Olubukola Oyewo, was among the dignitaries in attendance.

The two-in-one gathering also saw the party unanimously endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.

Speaking to newsmen, Oyewo said, "Continuity is crucial now to solidify structural reforms, deepen fiscal discipline, and unlock long-term prosperity under President Tinubu's Renewed Hope agenda."

The former Deputy Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Water Resources praised the PDP defectors' move as a game-changer, saying it reflects Osun's shifting political landscape and confirms APC as the go-to platform for stability, development, and responsible governance. "Their decision underscores the need for governance rooted in experience," he added.

The gathering, Oyewo noted, is both symbolic and strategic, showcasing APC unity and positioning Osun for the national reform agenda ahead of 2026 and 2027 elections.

I, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo, had the privilege of joining Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and other distinguished guests on Thursday 12th February at the 4th Distinguished Personality Lecture held at UNIOSUN College of Law, Ifetedo, where Senator Ajibola Basiru, APC's National Secretary, delivered an engaging lecture.

Under the distinguished leadership of Provost Aare Mojeed Alabi and the guidance of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Odunayo Clement Adebooye, the event achieved a resounding success.

In his thought-provoking lecture on "Democratic Governance, National Security, and Rule of Law", Senator Basiru underscored the interconnectedness of these vital concepts, challenging the audience to consider how Nigeria can strike a balance between national security needs and the rule of law to strengthen democratic governance and yield tangible democratic benefits.

Oyebamiji, Oyewo Present as Osun APC Inaugurates LGA Ambassadors for Renewed Hope Initiative

3rd February 2026

Earlier today, Tuesday, February 3, 2026, stakeholders gathered in Osogbo for the inauguration of Local Government Ambassadors for the Renewed Hope initiative.

The policy is part of President Bola Tinubu's framework for national development. The well-attended event saw the inauguration of ambassadors from all local government areas of Osun, with the mandate to go to the grassroots, mobilize the people, conduct outreach, and engage with them, so that the APC can attain victory in the August 8 gubernatorial election and the 2027 presidential poll.

Among the dignitaries who graced the event were the APC governorship candidate in Osun, Bola Oyebamiji; the Osun State Coordinator of Renewed Hope, Sunday Akere; and former lawmaker representing Osogbo Federal Constituency, Hon. Olubukola Oyewo(BUKOY).
