PELVIC INFLAMMATORY DISEASE (PID) is an infection of the female reproductive system which includes the womb,and the fallopian tobes and ovaries

PID is a common condition, although its not dear, many people are affected in the world but about 100 thousand people in Nigeria are infected annually

PID is caused by bacteria it occurs when bacteria from the va**na or cervix travels to the womb, fallopian tube, ovaries or any reproductive part of the female

most of the time PID is caused by bacteria from chlamydia and gonorrhea

IN the us, about a million women have PID each year, and 1 in 8 sexually active girl will have PID before the age of 20.
