FUHSTHO Joins Global Celebration of Science and Health

The FUHS-Teaching Hospital Otukpo, (FUHSTHO), has joined the global community to celebrate World Health Day 2026, emphasizing the crucial role of science in protecting and improving health.

The Chief Medical Director of FUHSTHO, Professor Teddy Eyaofun Agida, IION, echoed the global theme "Together for health. Stand with science", highlighting the importance of scientific collaboration in addressing health challenges.

According to Professor Agida, "The One Health approach reminds us that human, animal, and environmental health are interconnected. At FUHSTHO, we're committed to advancing health science and promoting evidence-based practices."

The hospital invites the public to join in celebrating scientific achievements and promoting health literacy. "Let's stand together for health. Stand with science," Professor Agida urged.

The celebration coincides with the International One Health Summit and the Global Forum of WHO Collaborating Centres, underscoring the power of science-driven partnerships in building a healthier future.

My dearest FUHSTHO family,
