Friday, September 26, 2025, marked a significant milestone for the College of Nursing Sciences Obohia Ndoki.

The Pioneer Provost, Ugoeze Uche Nwankwo, having completed her two terms in office, stepped down graciously. In a remarkable display of generosity, the Chairman of the Governing Council, Dr. Godwin Umontuen, presented her with a cheque of 5 million as a parting gift.

Guests and the College community took turns to present gifts.

Notably, during her tenure, the College secured all necessary accreditations, approvals, and licensing from the Nursing Council and NBTE.

The pioneer students achieved a 100 percent pass rate in the professional examination, while the College became the third-best in Nigeria and the first in Abia state. Congratulations to her. College of Nursing Sciences Obohia Ndoki

Admission into Nursing and Midwifery Programmes at College of Nursing Sciences Obohia Ndoki

The management of the College of Nursing Sciences Obohia Ndoki, located in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia state, invites qualified candidates to apply for admission into its Nursing and Midwifery Programmes.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidates must have scored 150 and above in the recent JAMB examination.
2. Candidates must have credits in English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology in not more than two sittings.

Application Procedure:

1. Application forms can be obtained from the Bursary Department of the College upon payment of a non-refundable fee of N25,000.
2. An acceptance fee of N150,000 is required upon admission.
3. Please note that the College does not offer online admission, and online payments are not accepted.

Documents Required Upon Admission:

The following documents are required for admission:

1. JAMB result slip
2. WAEC or NECO result
3. Population Commission Birth Certificate
4. Testimonial from last school attended
5. Letter of sponsorship
6. Two (2) recent passport-size photographs

Video: Commissioning of 700 seater capacity fully operational CBT Exam Centre by the Registrar and CEO, Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Dr. Alhassan Ndagi.

The Registrar approved the facility as Centre for Nursing professional examination. Meaning other Colleges of Nursing are at liberty to send their student nurses to take their examinations at our facility.

Congratulations to College of Nursing Sciences Obohia Ndoki Abia State

The Registrar Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Dr. Alhassan Ndagi, has approved the 700 seater capacity CBT Examination Centre of our College as Centre for Nursing professional examination going forward.

This instant approval followed his satisfaction with the facilities at the state of the art centre he commissioned yesterday. In his words “this facility is a game changer. Apart from Kano, your College has the second largest exam center in the nursing ecosystem in Nigeria. By powers conferred on me as Registrar and CEO of NMCN,, I hereby approve this facility as center for the May 2025 professional exams”.

By this approval, our CBT is the largest in Southern Nigeria and Colleges of Nursing, JAMB and other online examination bodies are at liberty to contact our College management for use of the facility.

Congratulations to Dr. Umontuen for this gargantuan breakthrough.
