Davido is a product of a well-trained rich man's child. Mr. David Adedeji Adeleke, aka Davido, was seen in a video call with Nigerian highlife musician Bright Chimezie. On the call, Davido acknowledged that he got the inspiration for his new song 'With You', featuring Oma Lay, from Bright Chimezie's song 'Because of English'. What is standard in a maternity hospital that refuses to tra*nsfuse blo*od on patient?

This lady, Victoria Paris, a resident of Port Harcourt, mother of four children, from Koluama community but married to an Azuzuama man, all in Bayelsa State, was pregnant for seven months.

According to her brother-in-law, Chris Adams, Mrs. Victoria had a preterm labour (7 months), and was rushed to Standard Maternity Hospital at Borikiri, Port Harcourt. The team of doctors conducted a cesarean section (Operation) on her. After the procedure, she was short of blo*od and needed urgent tra,nsfusion but that, the owner of the hospital said, blo,od tra,nsfusion is against her religion, and so, she won't transfuse.

Seeing that the lady was passing out, the family rushed her to another nearby hospital and she was confirmed de,ad on arrival.

THE BIG QUESTION

In the medical practice, can a hospital operate without blo*od tran*sfusion, especially carrying out s*urgical procedures?

If no, is this not a case of medical neg*ligence.

Are there penalties for this kind of conducts in the medical practice?

What should the family do at this point?

VDM mentioned that it took an investigation from EFCC to make him realize he doesn't own assets, but he's busy helping people.

He gives more than he saves for himself.

I don't know what people derived from such claims, but that's one issue good people face in life.

If you're someone who likes helping people and gets acknowledged, appreciated, and praised, this psychological reward can become addictive.

To maintain that good feeling, you might get lost in constantly catering for others, neglecting your own needs and family.

Some philanthropists sacrifice themselves for others but leave nothing for themselves and their families.

My post isn't about VDM, he can recover anytime soon. It's about other good people out there.

While helping others, don't forget to strike a balance. Save for yourself too.

Those you've helped might return the favour, but it's also important to know that humans often have shórt memories and move on when they stop benefiting from you.

VDM now that you’ve been released I’ve one word for you. When a football player is given 100 penalties to play and he scored 99 and missed one, people will only talk about the one he missed. Please we love what you’re doing keep it up and Nigerians have shown you the real love you deserve.
