🌍 Every year on May 31st, the world marks World No To***co Day to raise awareness about the dangers of to***co use and to advocate for effective policies that reduce to***co consumption. This year’s theme, “Unmasking the Appeal: Exposing Industry Tactics on To***co and Ni****ne Products” sheds light on how the to***co industry manipulates public perception—especially targeting youth—with misleading marketing and flavoured products to mask the harm of ni****ne and to***co.

🌱What is To***co?
To***co is a plant processed and consumed in forms like ci******es, ci**rs, s***f, ho**ah, chewing to***co, and vapes. Despite its widespread use, it contains ni****ne, a highly addictive substance that keeps users hooked.

🛑To***co in Nigeria
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), over 4.5 million Nigerians currently use to***co products, and to***co-related diseases contribute significantly to preventable deaths in the country.

🚨Why Say No to To***co?
To***co harms nearly every organ in the body. It causes: Heart disease, Stroke, Lung cancer, Respiratory disorders and Complications in pregnancy.
⚠️No amount or form of to***co is safe. Even secondhand smoke puts non-smokers—especially children—at serious health risks.

To***co companies continue to glamorize their products.
Now more than ever, we must unmask their deceit and empower our communities with facts by;
❗Saying NO to to***co. Supporting those trying to quit. Advocating for stricter regulations.

🫱🏾‍🫲🏽 Let’s come together to protect health and save lives.

🌐Today is World Hypertension Day – a day to raise awareness about a silent killer affecting millions.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is when the force of blood against the artery walls is consistently too high. Often symptomless, it increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and even death if left unmanaged.

📌Causes include:
* Unhealthy diet (especially high salt and fat intake)
* Physical inactivity
* Excessive alcohol and to***co use
* Stress
* Genetic factors or underlying health conditions

📌Who is at risk?
While it’s more common in adults aged 40+, lifestyle changes have made it increasingly prevalent among younger people too.
In Nigeria recent data shows over 30% of Nigerian adults live with hypertension, often undiagnosed.

Urbanization, poor dietary habits, and limited access to health checks contribute to the rising numbers.

🚨Prevention and Management Tips:
* Check your blood pressure regularly
* Eat more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains
* Reduce salt and processed food intake
* Exercise at least 30 minutes most days
* Avoid smoking and limit alcohol
* Take prescribed medication if diagnosed

👍🏽Let’s raise more awareness, encourage healthy living, and take our health seriously.
Hypertension is preventable and manageable. Don’t wait for symptoms—check your BP today!

PANS WEEK DAY 1 : PANS Health Awareness Rally Against Sexual Assault

Today, we had an impactful Health Awareness Rally on Sexual Assault as part of our PANS WEEK ( SURGE ), marching through the school premises to educate and sensitize students on the importance of consent, and the need to cry out from being assaulted sexually. 01 DAY TO SURGE ⚡

Spotlight on the Captain of the Ship -- The Zenith's Orchestrator!

Pansites, the hour draws near. The drums are rumbling, the earth is quaking, and even the mosquitoes are humming a single word: *SURGE!* And at the helm of this glorious movement stands none other than our very own -- Comr. Achuagu Chiamaka Benita, President of PANS FUOYE! 🔥

A lady whose spirit is calm yet whose drive burns fiercely -- Amaka was not made a leader by votes alone, but by the undeniable force of her conviction.
She wears stress like an accessory, yet appears day after day, adorned with a smile as radiant as a Grammy winner's glow ✨

Pansites, I speak of a leader who, if responsibility were a gym weight, would deadlift it effortlessly. Perhaps that's why she's a registered gym member -- who truly knows? 🤭😂

She carries our hopes with strength, our voices with grace, and our dreams with tireless, unwavering hands. They say leadership is not about the power you wield, but the impact you leave behind. And trust me -- when the story of SURGE is told, it will forever echo the name of a woman who dared to dream louder, to lead better -- an Amaka who made PANS FUOYE SURGE beautifully. 🤗

Pansites, just one more night, one more dream, and a new dawn will break — the tiny yet thunderous cry of SURGE will rise 🤩

_And so, for the final time, I ask: Are you ready to tend, admire, and embrace SURGE? 💥🚀_
