Harrison Akowei, A Rejoinder

It is unfortunate that the false narrative by Harrison Akowei on the distribution process of JOT Empowerment programme has been exposed. The publication of the five beneficiaries by our Principal is a sharp contrast from the lies which he has been peddling on social media.

This is not the first time that his name has been included in empowerment programmes coordinated by our principal. First he was added to the distribution of Vulcanizer machine which he did not collect. Then, distribution of food items and now the JOT Empowerment scheme. Apart from the first one which was his own making, he was a beneficiary of the other two categories. What then is his issue that he is peddling lies of exclusion and neglect?

He was appointed as a media aide when Dr Chris Ekiyor was Caretaker Chairman. He was given an lPad and phone and was duly paid until it was discovered that he was receiving double salary as a Council staff and as an appointee and was duly queried for such ignoble act.

While we recognise the fact that he is free to align with any interest, he should not use it to malign anybody or group. He should remember that our principal is media person and has the platforms to address him appropriately. We equally wish to inform him of the Cyber bullying law which is extant.

We hereby advise Harrison Akowei to refrain from such act and focus on his endeavours as such malicious statements will no be tolerated.

26 years of uninterrupted civil rule, Chris Ekiyor Calls for Sustained Democratic Norms

The Convener, Integration Summit Group Nigeria, Dr Chris Ekiyor, has called on leaders to maintain shared expectations and values that uphold the principles of democracy, respect for individual rights, rule of law and political equality.

Dr Chris Ekiyor gave the charge while speaking to newsmen on the significance of June 12 and the sacrifices made by late MKO Abiola and other heroes of democracy who fought tirelessly for Nigeria's democracy.He advocated for strong democratic norms that are crucial for maintaining public trust in political institutions, ensures citizen's engagement in civic activities and political will on the part of leaders to advance the aspirations of the people.

He maintained that democratic norms creates foundation for effective governance, accountability and political culture that prioritizes the cross-pollination of ideas.

The ISG-N Convener stressed the erosion of democratic norms in the nation's polity has lead to increased political polarization, with different groups entrenched in their views and less willing to compromise or collaborate in the interest of national growth and development.

He called on leaders, political parties and Nigerians, to put Nigeria first, embrace unity and work collectively for a society that recognises the voice of the voiceless in order to secure a brighter future for ourselves, our children, and generations to come.

Dr Chris Ekiyor Celebrate with Muslims on Eid al- Adha

The Convener, Integration Summit Group Nigeria and President Rahi Conglomerate, High Chief Dr Chris Ekiyor has sent a congratulatory message to Muslim Unmar on the Eid al-Adha celebration to commemorate the significance of Prophet Ibrahim and his willingness to sacrifice his son.

The message read; "I celebrate with Muslim Unmar on this special day of Eid al-Adha celebration.

"I enjoin you to work together with all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion and political differences to make our country great'.

'Let us continue to contribute our quota to national growth and development. In peace and unity, we will achieve a lot as a nation".

"May Allah accept your sacrifice and forgive your shortcomings. May the joy and fulfillment that comes with Eid-Al-Adha celebration remain with you and your family".

He used the occasion to pray for a prosperous and united Nigera while calling on them to seek the face of Allah in solving the numerous challenges facing the nation.

Ekiyor receives Special Recognition for Exceptional Achievement/Contributions to Health Sector in Nigeria

Congratulations to Dr Chris Ekiyor on the Distinguished Honourary Fellowship Award presented to him by the Department of Human Resources Management, Faculty of Management Sciences, University of Benin.

The award presentation, held at University of Benin was received on his behalf, joined by members of JCI UNIBEN.

He thanked the Department of Human Resources Management for the honour and pledged his commitment to contribute to the upliftment of humanity and qualitative healthcare delivery system in the country.

Dr Chris Ekiyor, President/Founder, RAHI Medical Outreach and Convener, Integration Summit Group Nigeria has received several awards in the past from Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Edo and Delta States as well as Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) for contributions to the health care sector. He has also received the Distinguished Alumini Award from UNIBEN Alumni Association Worldwide.

Dr Chris Ekiyor in his goodwill message, stated that through strength of character, tireless effort and commitment in driving the economy despite the challenges faced in the work place and rising costs of living, Nigerian workers have continued to inspire the hope for a brighter future.

He expressed solidarity with the workers in the trying times of our national economy. He called on them the remain focused and undeterred with the assurance that their labour will not be in vain.

Ekiyor hails the defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and entire PDP Structure to APC

** Says the move will engender MORE development in Delta state

APC Chieftain and former Commissioner in Delta State, High Chief Dr Chris Ekiyor has said that the official defection of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, PDP leaders and stakeholders in Delta State to APC will engender socioeconomic development in the state. He stressed that the synergy between the state and federal level will position Delta state for federal presence in line with the Renewed Hope agenda.

Speaking to newsmen at Cenotaph Asaba, during the defection ceremony, Dr Chris Ekiyor welcomed Governor Oborevwori and Delta PDP to APC. He maintained that the entire APC Delta State will work harmoniously with the entrants with the shared vision to develop the state.

The historic ceremony was witnessed by the Vice President, Alhaji Kashin Shettima, APC National Chairman, Alhaji Ganduje, APC National Executive Council, past and serving Governors, National Assembly members and APC faithfuls across the State and beyond.

Dr Chris Ekiyor had earlier joined the Patani local government entourage at the venue where he facilitated with the defectors alongside other APC faithfuls.
