Jesus –Our Joy.

Dr. Ben carson once shared while growing up, His Mother did not have money, their lives were full of Problem, yet their Mum was ever joyful, singing hymes and sold out to worshipping God even when he never understood why.

We live in a time of uncertainty, where result are almost unpredictable. Salaries can no longer meets one's needs, incomes are not coming in as suppose, and even if it does. An Unforseen chaos that surface in the middle of the month that takes away. Death,Sickness, Dissappointment from people, Failure from systems, and More seat to steal our joy every now or then.

This can built anxiety, and depression in the life of a believer. Yet, Apostle Paul Calls us to Rememberance "Rejoice in the Lord Always, again I say Rejoice!" (Philippians 4:4) Rejoicing which is the re-enacting of Joy, the outburst of the inner basking. Knowing that Having Jesus is Everything.

“If we have everything but don't have Jesus we have nothing. If we have nothing but we have Jesus we have everything.”

It more than a Feeling, It's an understanding that possessing Jesus is what more than gold and silver or any material possess and this is the real Joy that the world cannot take away from you.

"I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I have conquered the world." (16:33 msg.)

Jesus let us know that this world cannot give true joy, but has comfort us even in our grieves, through the Holy Spirit. Jesus helps us live everyday with purpose and hope.

Prayers:
Jesus you are worth more than the treasures of this World to me. So irrespective of what I don't have, i am comforted, because you are my chief Joy.

It is all about Jesus

Do you remember when the Children of Isreal were about to take over jericho and posses the land God had promised their fathers?

He gave them an instruction through Joshua their leader

"And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the Lord: they shall come into the treasury of the Lord." Joshua 6:18–19( KJV)

Sadly, Some one went against this instructions from God and brought God's judgment on the nation, family and himself. Achan had saw the gold and treasures of jericho thst he said there too precious to be destory or given to the Lord, so he converted it for himself.

As we talk about finance this month, it is important to understand that the first reason Godvis giving us access and opportunities for wealth is not for us.

We must consecrate our heart and desires and ensure that material blessings do not become idols. Everything we have is given to us by God to steward, and we must be ready to give it to Him anytime he makes a demand.

We have the tendency to forget easily where were before God raise us, our new status and financial increase can fill us with pride–The arogancy to share in God's glory–Which is what goes before a fall.

Beloved, this is a call to recall is not never about you, but all about Jesus.

"You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today."

A MESSAGE TO THE WORLD

Jesus didn't just sent us on the goal, he gave us a gospel, a Word for our world.

Our World is a desperate time, daily disasters, the Climax of chaos, things seems to the getting worse every single passing second.

Turning on the news might give one a heart attack; the killing, stealing, hating, fighting, detrayals, family issues, health challenges, financial struggles, business challenges, career etc.

The Goodnews is Jesus is the Answer. God did not leave us to fugure life all these by ourself. When Adam Sin and this brought the curse on the earth which is root cause of every chaos on the earth today, God crewated an alternative plan for mans salvation which is Christ. He gave us his only Son, Jesus as the ramson for the sins committed by men.

Just like it was Prophecy in Genesis, that the Serpent will burst the heel of man but the seed of Woman will bruise his Head. This was what Jesus Did on the Cross, He was Wounded and bruised for the sins of man, died but Resurrected om the 3rd day as a Victory over Satan, Sin and Death. Glory To God.

Now man can now live forever in Christ. Everyone who believes in Him has received eternal Life.

This is the Goodnews everybody Must Hear.

That Man can Live Forever, Live above Sin and in total victory over Satan, Sickness and the slavery of poverty.

We have This Message to Tell to the World. and somebody out there is waiting to hear this waiting to hear this message from You.

You must be intentional to preach and Disciple people into this new life. Glory to God!

The MAN–DATE

One of the Major reasons Jesus Resurrected was to give us a story to tell the world. His Death on the cross is the greatest display of Love; where God came down in flesh, suffer and die just to save humanity and bring man back to a relationship with Him. This is Divine, that He had to die, as man who knew no sin, so He could take away the sins of the world. This gospel is the great mandate, it is the responsibility rest on our shoulders for the rest of our lives. Here are is What the Great Commission has Given to us

1. PURPOSE: A reason to live, and live for the right course. Something bigger than self, something worth dying for. God repurposed our lives in Christ, when he died for us.

2. A MISSION. A work to do. He said, Preach, Tell, inform, educate people about what I did for them. Published it, and to everyone who believes in me, go ahead and Baptise them and they shall be save.

3. PERMISSION: Without Restriction, Jesus did not places a limitations to how far they can go. He said From where you are, to the ends of the earth. He said "to Whosoever", he Said "to the end of the age" It implies there is no Boundaries, No Restriction, No opposition over the gospel you have been. As far as you can see within the context of the juridication of where you have bern sent. Hallelujah!

"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" Mark 16:15.

Easter Reflection:

One out of the many things that Interest about the Resurrection of Jesus was how He left his cloth Behind.

This was the cloth used to wrap him,
The Cloth that was stained by the wounds and blood of death,

But he left it behind, Because it has finished serving it purpose.

Unlike Lararus, Jesus did not have to come out of his tomb in need of Someone to pity him and say "oya remove your cloth because you know he just came out of the grave"

He Arose,
Stood up,
Folded His Cloth,
And Walked Out of the grave.

This is Truely the Walk of a Victor.

In the same way, If we have Resurrected with Him (Colossians 3:1), we have to leave out Past behind.

You don't have to drag that pain with you every where you go,
You don't have to carry that hurt, wounds, and stories of scars , detrays and deniel into every scene of your life.

Yes, Put it Behind, Leave it there. Walk away.

You don't need your Tomb cloth in your Resurrected life.

No.

Your Tomb Cloth may be some relationship in your life, some traditional ideologies and beliefs system, some jobs and ungodly addictions.

You have been called to live a new life.

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. (Col 3:1 NIV)

You now have a new Priority.

Being an Example of the Gospel

There are people who have heard the Gospel, believed the Gospel, and even go ad far as preaching the gospel but their lives are far from the reality of the Gospel. While others might settle for just religious act of christianity, this morning the Lord is quicking our consciousness to the fact we have to be living proof of the Gospel we believe.

The Gospel is the power of God unto Salvation. (Romans 1:16). Act 1:12–13 says "To them who believes he gave them power to become sons of God—Children born not of will of flesh and blood but of God."

The Born again life is a Supernatural life. Therefore your life as one who believed the Gospel, should be Supernatural. You cannot remind the same after you are born again. Your life should begin to show what the power of God can do.

"Unless a man is Born again he cannot see the kingdom of God...for that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is Born of the Spirit is Spirit...The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear it sound but cannot tell where it is coming from or where it is going, so it is with every one born of the spirit." (John 3:5–8)

An Africa proverb says "Lion cannot give birth to Goat" it is impossible for Supernatural life of God to give birth to a natural life.

You must be dissatisfied with a Christainity that is Murden and lacking the power of God. The believers were first called Christians in Antioch by Unbelievers who saw their life and result and knew this was Supernatural. Paul warned about such a life as a trait of many in this last days "Having a form of godliness but denying the power therefore" 2 Tim 3:5.

Our Prayer today is: Lord Help me Be a an Example of Those who Believe.

Live A honourable life.

Scriptures calls you a city on the hill. This implies as a Believer your life should be standard people see and desire to immulate. The way you live, they way you conduct yourself, the way you speak, dress, and the result you command should be extra to the ordinary life, and unsual to the ones people are used to. Sadly many believers are living beneat their potentials.

They struggle to meet earns means, join others in corruptions, suffer like unbelievers, and die like mere men although they have the God life inside of the them. Although resurrection life is at work in them yet things dies in their hand. This kind of ordinary life cannot draw anybody to Jesus.

If we must truely live and draw men to Christ then we must live a life of honour. The word honour could mean distinguished life. A life of honour is the one that is praise worthy, inspire imulation and cause the nations to seek our God (Psalm 45:17).

"And Jabez was more honourable than his brethre" 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 (KJV).

Let Delves a bit into the How of Honour.

1. Have a Mentality of Honour.

"Let this mind be in You which was in Christ" Phi 2:5

Honour is first a mindset before it becomes a life style. You must be able to say to yourself "this is the life I want to live" before you manifest it. A man who does not know he is in honour cannot attract honour.

Rejecting honour is not humility. It is just a function of your Mentality that is absolutely abstract from depth of honour God has placed on you and kind of life God expect from you.

2. Honour has a conduct. 2 Timothy 2:20–23.

Honour has a manner. Anytime you uncode its conduct, whether unknowingly or knowingly you will attract it and the producers.

3. Be God personified.
The level to which you carry and exhit God–in presence, power and Principles is the level Honour can come to you. The Queen of England once said she dies not fear the armies of England but she fears the prayers of John knox. Carry God!

Making Jesus Glorify.

Why many thing want struggle for the top of our list. The schedule, the activities, the talk and laugh in between, the go slow, and the fast lane of life, it important we remind our ourselves that making Jesus Glorify is the Goal.

This is the purpose of our Life, it is to live for the Glory of God –and how we fulfill purpose is by making Jesus Glorify.

"Let Everything You do be for the glory of God" 1 Cor 10:31

Every single piece of our lives, every bit of breath that survive in our nosey should be channel to gbringing glory to God.

Let a Masterpieces, Your life can be said to give God glory when men are drawn to Him because of you.

When my life deflies the natural idea of what religion is.

When God can look down and smile at the work I do because they are vivid translation of my revelation of him to mankind. Than I am giving Glory to God.

God does not want us mediocers, living ordinary like every other person. God is Calling us to a life of excellent, living out the fullness of our potentials, Preaching Christ and Bringing all men to him. This is a life of Purpose.

Be An Example of the Gospel:

Prior to my exams, among the list of books recommended for me to read in my 300L second Semester in a particular course I fell in love with one "Go tell it on the mountain" by James Baldwin.

An African–American Litereature, that is centred on religion. The narrative present John who hate his father Gabriel who happened to be a Pastor. Gabriel although had good intentions, but was an epitom of a tonge in the flesh to his household.

This remind me of a story of an atheist, who does not believe in the existence of God because his father who is a religion, was abusive and wicked.
There are also numerous stories of people who have given on the faith because of the kind of christains they came incontact with, stories of children who has denied the faith because of the kind of parent they had. They were good spiritually, but they were the worst human to live with, They were Saint in the heart but Devils in the act.

It is true, every believer is a work in progress, never the less, decide never to a source of hurt, discouragement, bitterness especially to those who babies in the faith. God is expecting more from you. Your words should not drive people away, your dressing should not seduces another', your financial dealings should not make people be afraid of church people. You own it to your world to have integrity because the world is looking at you.

Dear believer, you are a light in the midst of a crocked generation and the world is looking at you. Once you profess the name of God, people are liking for the good works of love, and peace that follows. Not mere words, but actions.

If we must be evangelical, and create positive influences in our society that our actions must match our message of love and peace–The Gospel. Be a good Ambassador of the gospel you Preach.

"You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart." 2 Corinthians 3:2–3
