About Hema!
We are deeply committed to addressing the challenges faced by thousands of young girls across the country when it comes to menstruation and menstrual hygiene.
It’s disheartening to learn that many women and children in Nigeria have never had access to proper sanitary towels, resorting to using old rags and paper. Equally distressing is the fact that some girls are forced to abandon their education due to a lack of knowledge on managing their periods.
In response to these pressing issues, Hema was established. Our core mission revolves around:
1️⃣ Providing quality sanitary products to underprivileged girls.
2️⃣ Educating girls on healthier and more affordable period supplies.
3️⃣ Empowering young girls who cannot afford period supplies through skill development programs.
4️⃣ Organizing enlightening sensitization walks and events to promote menstrual hygiene awareness and combat period illiteracy.
Our vision is clear: to foster an environment where women and young girls are empowered with knowledge and confidence. We aim to eliminate discrimination surrounding menstruation and eradicate the stigma associated with menstrual hygiene and menstruation itself.
