Ponyx hospitals limited was incorporated in 2011. Located on plot 26 Presidential Estate GRA 111 opposite NDDC Head Quarters behind the Rivers State House of Assembly Residential Quarters on the Aba Port Harcourt Expressway Port Harcourt, Rivers State. It is a 32 bedded, well equipped hospital with all the different departments that qualifies it to be a one-stop shop hospital. The Laboratory Department attends to all Microbiology/serology cases, Haematology as well as Clinical Chemistry cases. There is also a very functional Radiology Department where Mammography is done,Echocardiography, 4-D Ultrasound Scanning,Mobile and stationary Digital X-ray machine with Automatic processor used also. The theatre houses several surgical machines including the full anaesthetic machine with a cardiac monitor,oxygen concentrator, diathermy machine and a host of others too many to mention. There is also a well-stocked pharmacy with both branded and generic drugs displayed. Six(6) Medical Officers run a 24 hours 7days morning and night shift with eight(8) Midwives, eleven(11) Registered Nurses, four(4) Auxiliary Nurses, four(4) Laboratory Scientist, one(1) Radiographer two(2) Pharmacists and Eighteen(18) Admin Staff with a General Manager as those consisting the total support staff of the hospital. The hospital also runs several clinics by consultants that include but not limited to ; Internal Medicine Clinic, Paediatric Clinic, Gynaecology and Ante-natal Clinic, Dermatology Clinic, Orthopaedic Clinic, Surgery Clinic, E.N.T Clinic with Audiometry, Physiotherapy, Immunization for Children and Adults, Pre-Employment and Periodic Medical Examinations and a 7days Dental Clinic to mention but a few.
